Well, I wrote a little over 20000 words last year, which was less than my initial goal. But I got my story started and wrote more words than I think I have on any one other story so far, so I’d count it as a win. 🙂

I’d say that even if you don’t finish your whole novel, at least you’ll end up with more words than you started off with, which is definitely a win. 😀 And I hope whatever is going on with your family right now isn’t too serious and that it’ll clear up soon. 🙂
