@seekjustice I guess we really do have a lot in common! 😉 I think that it’s really neat you’re writing in WWI time period.  It’s really interesting reading about WWII, and I won’t deny that I’ve read a ton on it, but I feel like WWI gets neglected a bit.  Would you mind telling what you’re story is about?
So, I do write historical fiction!  It’s about the only thing I have the imagination to do.  But I love it with a passion.  My favorite time periods to write in would be…well, I suppose I don’t have a favorite, but currently, I am writing three stories.  Probably not a great idea, but it’s so.  One’s set in London, 1800s.  Another is set in Germany, during the Nazi regimen.  The last one, my favorite, is set in the 1400s, Italy.
I think history is fascinating and writing historical fiction has led me to learn so much more than just reading textbooks.  All those nitpicky things we need to know to write a complete story! 🙂
Have you ever read any G.A. Henty?

@eden-anderson My favorite generals would be Stonewall Jackson and Robert E. Lee.  I also greatly admire Chamberlain and Handcock.  I will reply to the rest of this tomorrow, but for now, I need to get to bed!  😉
