If folks are still interested in doing this… my antagonist needs severe help.

Haeldur’s firmly established on the throne of his generation’s old inheritance. It’s uncontested, and honestly pretty boring. With his illustrious heritage though, he also inherited the paranoia and tendency towards madness that his predecessors carried. He’s not the worst of them (yet), but if left unchecked, the future isn’t promising for his populace, or his daughter.

Already, he’s had his wife murdered, and is carefully arranging a marriage for his daughter to ensure that the throne remains secure. A handful of others have died at his command as well, but since they’re ‘just traitors’ and don’t really matter to him, he doesn’t care about the impact their deaths have held; especially when one such soldier (who was working on the princess’s command to free the innocents Haeldur had falsely imprisoned) happened to be his daughter’s closest friend and confidant.

Despite all this, I’m struggling to keep him out of the shadows of the story. He’s a bad guy, but not The Bad Guy, like I need him to be.
