In my current revision, I’m struggling in much the same way. I have the major scenes fleshed out, and a few connecting ones finished or drafted. What I’m struggling with is the motivation to work on writing the in-between connections and day to day scenes that are also needed to get us from point A to point B. They are far less exciting to write, but still necessary.

What I’ve done for plotting is to take these scenes and hang them from the major scenes. In each minor scene, I try to find the key point (whether it’s a dialogue bit, a character interaction, the revealing of key information that will be expounded on in the next major scene and so on), and use that to create the momentum to get from one small-scene to the next, and eventually on to the next major scene.
