*stumbles in, bleary-eyed* Hello.

I come from the busy world of working two jobs and taking college classes to bring you…this forum post.

My novel-in-progress (I say that because I also have any given number of fanfictions bouncing around my head at the moment) is a bundle of chaos. In its current incarnation, it’s the tale of an orphan named Evyn, and her journey through fantastical realms, civil war, and the trials that come with such things.

Evyn is…spirited, to say the least. She commands a group of outcasts called the Freelancers in a city called Bellegarde, which is nestled in the heart of the kingdom of Allora. Bellegarde is a city split in half; on one side live the “Voids”, regular humans without powers, and on the other side live the “Chosen”–those with powers (either elemental or shapeshifitng abilities).

Evyn’s Freelancers are all outcasts and Chosen. They champion the rights of the Chosen and are striving to bring peace to Bellegarde.

The Rogues are a group headed by a woman named Shauna–she’s actually Evyn’s mother, but neither of them know that–but instead of desiring unity for Bellegarde, the Rogues would much rather see any and all Voids cast out so that the Chosen can reign supreme.

Any of you who have seen me talk about this story before might recognize it a bit, but a lot has changed. It’s been hard going–and continues to be–but I wouldn’t give up this WIP for anything.
