I also hated writing when I was young.  Mom had a writing curriculum (which shall remain nameless) that I hated a lot.  Then one day someone in our church decided to put on a writing class and Mom made me go and I was all ‘NONONONONONONO’ until the end of the first day when I was like “YESYESYESYESYES.”  he made us do a Show don’t Tell exercise and mine turned into a 10,000 word something over the next month or so and that’s the first thing I ever wrote.
