Hey Guys,

So I was kind of going through all the subforums trying to post a new topic to get discussions rolling and I had just about decided I didn’t need a prayer request topic when I said that out loud.  Yeah, always need a prayer request topic.

So here it is: I’m friends with some friend who are doing a really big thing.  They’ve released a website dedicated to helping Christian storytellers create and publish quality content in an effort to take back the culture war and spread the gospel.  Yeah, I’m posting on Story Embers about Story Embers.  Very meta.

So first, pray for Story Embers.  The fact that we’re here today is already a huge answer to prayer.  God has blessed us IMMENSELY throughout our planning and launch phases.  Immensely.  Things have gone very well and we’ve kind of had our socks knocked off with His blessings.  But we’re not done with the work; we’ve barely even started.  Please praise God for his mercy so far and pray for wisdom for the staff as we decide on some of our next moves.  There are lots of options, and we want to be taking the best path to serve all of you.

Second, pray for Rillumen.  That’s right, us.  The guilds in general are such a cool idea in theory, but have so many ways they can get sidetracked.  We want to grow into a small group of friends and co-laborers working to spread the kingdom.  Somewhere we can learn and grow.  Somewhere we can bring our joys and struggles.  Somewhere we can find support and guidance.  That’s… a big bill to fit.  So pray for Rillumen.  Pray that we’d be an encouraging, engaged community.  Pray for helpful, beneficial interactions.  Pray for long term development both personally and as a Guild.  Pray for me as I try to lead, (I’m younger than half of y’all, you know.)

God can make this happen.  He has so far.
