Oh wow. These are all great stories, though to be honest I only skimmed a lot of them. I have a bunch of ideas and very few WIPs at the moment, but I’ll summarize my current one or two and maybe a favorite idea that I’m excited about.
Cold Fires Burning: I don’t know what I’m going to do with this child, because it’s honestly one of my favorite stories that I have and it’s both interesting and trying to convince me it’s cliche at the same time. It’s about a young man who is both holds a high position in a despotic government and secretly is a revolutionary fighting against it at the same time. It’s got themes of justice and hope and I think maybe freedom, and it’s just generally being difficult about it. One of the parts I find really exciting though is the world. It’s a sort of fantasy, but the technology and culture is like that of the 18th century. But more creative 😛 I’ve got a basic outline of this story, and really should have finished it, but I was lazy and now I’m busy. *sigh*
MACHINE: Title in caps just for the fun of it. XD This is the first (I think?) in my series of space opera superhero stories. It’s about an evil cyborg crime lord whose brain, through cybernetic tampering, is reset to when he was 15 or 16 years old. The MC, Benjamin, is one of my favorite characters and I really can’t wait to get started outlining this one in maybe half a year 😀
Thor (placeholder title): This is my newest idea, and it’s… going to be a challenge. A fun and a cool one, but still a challenge. It’s a really complicated thing where Thor’s hammer Mjonlir, Zeus’s lightning bolt, and a few other such mythological items are real pieces of futuristic technology, traveled back in time from an extragalatic colony of future humans and becoming the basis of many of these myths. Mjonlir is found by the PK of a deep South megachurch’s pastor, and idk where it goes from there. It’s got a whole bunch of important plot points that I know nothing about yet (being the PK of a megachurch pastor, southern African American subcultures, etc etc.) so it’s gonna take some planning and research. And time. Do I get that kind of time in college? I’d better wait for a summer break 😛
