Activity

My writing is a little scattered right now. I have one short story that’s had a light edit and needs some heavier ones, but I also have a second short story about 3/4 written, and since that one is for a contest, writing and editing it takes priority. Then there’s a longer story (about 25,000 words, so maybe a novella?) that’s had a first draft but no edits, but it was so hard to force out I can barely even stand to look at it right now. I’m waiting a while to edit that one (which is why I’m working on the short stories instead). And yet another long story is beckoning me, distractingly shiny, but I’m resisting.

So I guess my goal for this week is to finish the contest story and take it through at least one edit. I’ll see if I can also squeeze in some editing on the earlier one.
