We can call her Ella…

And you know most little kids are scared of shadows, so shadows are considered monsters. But what she’s trying to say is that the days when she used to play with her friends are so long ago that they’re like shadows, monsters even, taunting her about the good old days. Somehow she still loves her friends and thinks that they aren’t monsters.

Right now, Ella doesn’t think that anyone’s part of a fairytale, and if she did, this would just be a fairytale gone totally wrong. She’s trying to understand why they’re taking her away and she wants to go back. As to if she lands safely, that’s up to you. I left it as an open ending on purpose to give people a sense of something missing here. (There are stories every once in a while that have us questioning things in life. I’m hoping that this will be one of them.)

I could make a comparison to Sleeping Beauty, you know, if I do decide to tweak it.

I’ll try to implement those suggestions, but if it doesn’t work I’ll definitely let you guys know. I may have to tweak the part about her father, though… 😉
