Sounds good! I’ll try to post character profiles when I have a little more time.

“Denari, give up your most prized possession or take part in my fashion show,” Lord Castle said in his deep voice.

    Denari?

The room’s inhabitants were craning o get a glimpse of the newcomer when the door at the other end of the room flew open with a resounding boom. The young woman who stepped in was not particularly tall, nor was she dressed like royalty, yet she caried herself like a queen. Her straight black hair hung loose to her waist and she glanced about with an air of wide-eyed innocence even as her mouth curled upward in an impish smile.

“Look on me and tremble!” the woman announced without preamble, her voice carrying through the hall with surprising force. “For your time of freedom is over; the reign of terror is begun! I am now the sovereign ruler of this vast domain, and all who dare to defy me shall perish miserably.”

Before anyone could respond to this absurd statement, Lord Castle himself appeared beside her, radiating disapproval.

“Loki Rhianna, give up your most prized possession or take part in my fashion show,” he commanded.

Smiling up at him, the girl resembled nothing so much as a mischievous pixie, for she was a good two feet shorter than he was. “Its ‘the Loki’, not ‘Loki’,” she informed Lord Castle. “My title, you know. You can drop it entirely and just call me Rhianna, unless you want to call me ‘Queen Rhianna’, which would be just peachy.”

Rhianna then attempted a scowl and demanded in her previous regal tones, “Who are you?”

Lord Castle’s scowl was far more convincing than Rhianna’s. “I am this castle’s ruler. It obeys my every command, and so will you, Loki Rhianna, if you know what is good for you. Now, participate in my fashion show or suffer my extreme displeasure.”

Rhianna seemed to consider this speech highly enlightening. Turning to the silent onlookers, she stretched out her hands and addressed them.

“How can we live under such tyranny? Surely it is not life at all, but a mere farce. To be daily subjected to the whims of a cruel and capricious lord, is that life? What freedom? What of your dreams? Our agency and independence are slowly being stripped away from us until we are just puppets on strings. No more!” Before, Rhianna had been growing positively teary, but now her voice was firm. “Let us throw off the chains of oppression! Rise up and claim our rightful freedoms! Who will fight with me?”

Lord Castle decided he had had enough and reached out to grab Rhianna, cutting short her passionate appeal. The girl nimbly evaded him and dashed across the room to where the others were gathered. Paying no mind to Lord Castle, who was booming dire threats, she grabbed hold of two people and dragged them with her across the stage and behind the curtain.

With a flushed and happy expression, Rhianna turned to her two companions.

“Well, that was fun!” she exclaimed, green eyes sparkling.
