Yep that happens XD To be honest, two of my own favorite characters (Basil and Kit) were both HEAVILY inspired by two of my favorite characters from a series I really love.  I found them really intriguing, and wanted to explore those kinds of characters further, so I just…completely ripped them off and reverse engineered them to find out why exactly they’d behave the way they do in this context.  And it actually worked?  You have to go through this weird, embarrassing period of trying to separate them from their inspiration, but eventually they really started coming into their own and becoming completely separate characters XD  It’s kind of embarrassing to admit, but I’m honestly really glad I did it because Spire would not be where it is today without these two!

Btw do you like LotR?  And if so, who’s your favorite character?

@jared-williams I’ve been praying!  I just wanted to let you know that I really do appreciate your addition that “God will be honored.”  I think when we hear about so many terrible things in the world, it’s tempting to just focus on an end goal, like if this one thing happens, then everything will be fine.  I’ve noticed that it can be kind of tempting to leave God out of that equation and just focus on human effort and human opinions instead.  It would be so wonderful if abortion is banned, but no matter what happens, we can still honor God through our conduct and the love and care we share to those in crisis right now!

On a lighter note, I think “awkward” might be a better way to describe that interaction, but just the fact that it’s Kit automatically makes it rather cursed XD

@ethan-leonard I’m so, SO curious to see how Saevus is going to react to Lord Castle.  Especially this next challenge – he’s about to be forced onto the same level of shame and regret as everyone else here.  I’m very interested to see what his biggest regret might be…
