Thirdly, it’s okay to have seasons in your writing. I’ve wanted to be a writer since I was eleven, but I still put it aside for awhile to go to a Bible Institue and study children’s ministry.

[I’m going to stop numerating, because it suddenly started sounding pompous, and I was like–girl! This is not a research paper! It’s an encouraging note!]

It is 100% to have other passions and interests. Being online, it can be hard to show all of the sides of you at once. This is a writing site, so, naturally, that’s mainly what we talk about. But I’d bet you a candy bar (cause gambling with money is bad, duh XD) that everyone else on here has other hobbies, interests, dreams, aspirations, etc outside of writing. Trust me, how I appear on a writer site verses how I appear in real life are radically different.

Not everyone who likes to write is supposed to be a full-time writer/make their living with words. Your relationship with writing is really between you and God, and it doesn’t have to conform to anyone else’s idea of what an author should look like.

Anyway, I hope that was an encouragement to you! *hugs and prayers*
