Kallun nodded. “Because she’s my sister.” He stressed the words pointedly at Julian and Ellie.
K’Nika hugged Kallun and walked over to Pia. “Does that make us near sisters?”
Pia stared at the girl, obviously caught off guard by the question. “I-I don’t- I’ve never had a sister. I don’t know what a sister does.”
K’Nika only shrugged. “Well, for starters… sisters are friends.”
Pia nodded, watching the tears forming in the girl’s eyes, realizing that K’Nika was thinking of her real blood sister and what had happened to her.
Pia’s expression softened. “I-I can do that..”

Kallun smiled as he watched them, watching K’Nika hug Pia and Pia almost hesitantly wrapping her arms around the girl in return.
