<p style=”text-align: center;”>Lost to the vastness of the failed calling.</p>

<p style=”text-align: center;”>Swirling in the torrents of sorrows endless bend,</p>
<p style=”text-align: center;”>Drowning in the fathomless depth of the winless trend.</p>

<p style=”text-align: center;”>Purpose at last is cast without hope to send,</p>
<p style=”text-align: center;”>No sail is seen come past, yet a man descend.</p>

<p style=”text-align: center;”>Suspend to all reason, above the waters he do trod,</p>
<p style=”text-align: center;”>With outstretched arms, he shines as the Son of God.</p>

<p style=”text-align: center;”>Why he would brave to save such a one as I,</p>
<p style=”text-align: center;”>Is beyond belief, yet here He is and there I lie.</p>

<p style=”text-align: center;”>Yet his shelter is like the falling rays,</p>
<p style=”text-align: center;”>Of spring, of summer, of all ends at bay.</p>

<p style=”text-align: center;”>My hand he seeks and in loves embrace,</p>
<p style=”text-align: center;”>I hover with him over the abyss in pace.</p>

<p style=”text-align: center;”>I dare not let go lest then I should falter,</p>
<p style=”text-align: center;”>Away from my sorrow he leads, this witness I, the Psalter.</p>
