Definitely the Anne of Green Gables series! I love Anne <3 And as for Lewis… That’s really impossible for me to choose a favorite of his works xD I think The Last Battle is wonderful though–and quite unappreciated.

I’ve read only a few of his other works. The Space Trilogy is really intriguing and full of symbolism that I can understand XD I’ve also read Till We Have Faces, and ended up completely and utterly confused. The first half was not to hard to understand, but the second half…

Yeah, hahaha, Disney has done a good job of cleaning them up. My absolutely favorite fairytale would have to be “The Wild Swans” by Andersen, but I have many others. Do you have a favorite?

I love “The Wild Swans,” but I think my favorite would be “The Goose Girl.” I’m not sure why I like it so much. Maybe it has to do with having a princess who used to herd geese though the part with Falada’s head was very…grim (excuse the pun).

That’s very cool xD I’m half Chinese, half Korean and have moved around quite a bit, and there just aren’t many books out there that explore all the unique cultural backgrounds and how they can truly affect a person’s perspective on the world!

Agreed! It’s really cool to see the similarities that we all have as humans, but also the differences that come from a person’s background. I’ve lived in Korea, and it was interesting to see all the similarities and differences between it and other places I’ve been to. It’s also interesting to try to guess why their culture developed into what it is today (one reason why history is fascinating)
