<p>I found two good options that I use sometimes to prevent myself from going back.</p>
<p>1. Take the mouse&#8217;s thumbdrive out of the PC.</p>
<p>2. Put something hard and flat over the trackpad if you have one and tape it down.</p>
<p>Voila. Can&#8217;t move the cursor. <p>Also along the lines of the &#8220;I have dirt&#8221; line, I think no matter which way the reader takes it it still sounds amusing, whether they think it means he has dirt to lose (which could further strengthen his unwillingness to take a bath) or just a way of saying he&#8217;s dirty.</p>

<p>1. Easily, I would say. Any time a kid in a story says &#8220;Guvna&#8221;, &#8220;Jes&#8221;, or anything along the lines of a typicall Dickens child accent their voice is automatically engaging, plus the way the narration was used, especially when he would reference large words, was great.</p>
<p>2. When he talked about being &#8216;affected&#8217; by soot.</p>
