If you can make it so different and intriguing that it’s unnoticeable I don’t think it’s bad at all. But if you are rewriting a cliche, worn out style and/or story then I’d say avoid it at all cost.

Thats my view today though and it could change tomorrow. Haha

Oh and sorry I’m advance. I put one use of the word “Hell” in it. Forewarned is forearmed. I don’t usually ever do that(cause I don’t like foul language at all, and my parents raised me not to) but the character needed the hard gritty feel and that seemed to help..

Each era of Historical Fiction has its own unique charm, but I am partial to the timeframe around 1000AD. It presented so many possibilities while giving a foundation for so many amazing twists and turns perfect for writing about.
