I’ve been wanting to write for Story Embers for a little while, actually, so it was cool to see this post go up! I’m looking forward to applying, but I have two quick questions first – when you say “what’s your personal testimony” on the application form, what do you mean by that? Also, when uploading previous work, are you wanting fiction work, or articles?

We want you to share how you came to Christ. 🙂 And we’re looking for articles, though you can attach a story as well if you’d like to demonstrate your skill with fiction.

Okay, cool – that’s what I assumed, but I wanted to make sure. Thank you! I just applied :).

This looks amazing! I have one question: if you are under the suggested age, but are still interested, is it okay to apply? Or would you prefer to only receive applications from people ages 20+?
    Thanks!

If you feel you have the skills and experience to match the other qualifications, go ahead and apply, but we do prefer that applicants be over 20.

What sort of information should be included in the resume? Is there a template or certain standard we should go by?

You’ll want to list any details that pertain to your writing experience, such as publishing credits, courses you’ve taken, and/or tutoring/mentoring jobs. 🙂
