By The Fledgling Artist

I created this piece with watercolors and a little colored pencil to restore some of the paler tones I lost. I tried to limit my palette as much as possible to keep the focus on the character in the foreground and the warm light he possesses.

Over and over again our trusty Bibles remind us that, as Christians, we are set apart from the world by God’s glorious light. It lives in us and gives us life. I think we can all agree that this is fantastic news! But it doesn’t stop there. Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” We are called to let this light radiate out so it can touch every soul around us. We live in a dark and, at times, terrifying world. But God not only surrounds us, He dwells inside us. So sparkle, shine, and spread His love!
