@tal Your Skreel sound beautiful, and amazing. Lately I’ve been developing a bit of a Steampunk storyline, and I’ve got pterosaurs in it, which I think are really cool. My little brother had me draw a flying elephant for his fantasy world today.😆
@anne_the_noob14 Well, if you haven’t been able to visit your world, I suppose they would also block…[Read more]

It sounds really cool! They’re like dragons, but that migrate from place to place on the wind currents, and so enable humans to use them effectively?

@tal Wow! I love your map and all the dragon things, and language, and swords.🤩 That is all so awesome. I especially love your way of naming things (because I just randomly name my places…😉).
@anne_the_noob14 Old trees, pirates, and bounty hunters? Sounds like someplace I would like to visit.😆 I love how your government system is set up. Also,…[Read more]

I really like your world!
Cool! Can you tell us more about them?
Hmm, languages! I used to be a conlanging nerd, though I used a YouTube guide. It was addicting, so I stopped when I realized I spend too much time on it… Maybe I’ll create a ”sketch language” for my setting, but no one is interested in my exotic phonology, rich…[Read more]

Your idea sounds really cool! Biology has been my favorite subject in school this year.
In my world (it’s really an undiscovered island on earth) there is a very smart /not/ mad scientist. He has an army from a South or Central American country, and he uses it to keep the many indigenous tribes on the island in check.
He is messing with the…[Read more]-
Biology is my favorite subject too!
Hmm, one-celled creatures are fascinating, but aren’t they somewhat disgusting when too big? 😉
Ffffivvve bbbookssss? Wow. Writing is definitely your calling!

-
Yes, disgusting many are. (: But, they also are fascinating…and quite dangerous. Especially the hydra and viruses I use.
I do want to write books to offset expenses in the future. I love to write! Sooo much. (: But I really want to be a wife and mother mainly. Writing will have to come second after that happens.
How many kids do you want? -
I don’t know what they’re called yet?
-
I really like your ideas! Can’t wait to hear what you decide on. (:
-
I want… 3-4 kids, but only God really chooses.
Thank you!

(Very long, none need feel compelled to read)
Okay, so far I just have names and their meanings. No language per se (thanks @tal by the way). But I do have a culture forming, it’s definitely a work in progress though.
Tribal people, natives, of the earth more than we are (I assume).
Names:
Huwana – Feminine – Of The Heavens
Omaru – Masculine…[Read more]

@tal Aah, gotcha.
@ariella-newheart You’re good! Yeah, so basically Dharin and Jaylin left the girls back in the hall, and now they (the guys) have run into Isaac and then Luke. Issac is masquerading as a Frenchman, and Dharin is by now almost totally convinced that this whole thing is an experiment that’s being run by a team of wizards. 😀
Hope…[Read more]

The Hobbit – J.R.R. Tolkien
Ranger’s Apprentice series – John Flanagan (Mild swearing alert)
All the Percy Jackson series – Rick Riordan (Greek mythology, with their gods and goddesses and all)

Well snap XD I did the same thing as @rusted-knight did lol. I didn’t see the latest post. Let’s see…
_____
The lad shook his head. “Oh, no, you didn’t wake me up. And please —please, stand. Save your bows for the One True King.” Dharin stood, a bit confused, as the boy went on: “My name is Luke, anyways. Prince Luke.” He stopped, lo…[Read more]

@everyone
Here’s a slightly different version of my earlier bit, since Dharin doesn’t totally understand the French spoken by Isaac:
(Italiacs meaning he’s either thinking or speaking in a language besides English [that they call the Common tongue])
____
Dharin glanced down at Jaylin as the boy asked, “Hey, you want to explore what’s beh…[Read more]

@rusted-knight By the way, what does Isaac mean by “feint French”?
_____
Dharin glanced down at Jaylin as the boy asked, “Hey, you want to explore what’s behind some of these doors?”
He smiled, and was about to reply when a man stepped…[Read more]
