@anne-of-lothlorien I would venture to say this is even better than the KP anthem! Very well done. I like the “battle song” style.

Ben P replied to the topic How to Write Believable Emotion: Discussion Topic Five in the forum Avensbeck Writing Discussions 6 years, 10 months ago
I do believe I’ve read that before. 🙂
I tend to have the opposite problem and not show enough emotion, but I still struggle with these sometimes.
Over-explaining happens to me a lot. It doesn’t help that my most comfortable writing style uses a narrator-like voice, which involves a lot of telling.
That and rushing are probably the hardest for…[Read more]

I vote for The Hobbit or Dire Recompence.

I’m just waiting for you guys to make a decision. 🙂 Between those options I don’t really care.

@gabriellepollack Sure! I can’t guarantee that I would always have time, but usually I would be able to.

@corkybookworm *bows humbly* You’re welcome. 😀

Ben P replied to the topic File has arrived! in the forum Introduce Yourself 6 years, 11 months ago
@corkybookworm Yes, I’m already thinking up ideas.
To answer your question: As far as I can tell, the guilds aren’t visible unless you’re in one. For example, when I go to the main forum page I can see Avensbeck, but I can’t see any of the others. So when you get in a guild it should just pop up on the forum page.
I hope that helps!

@filewriter Ah, 15. That was a good age. Pardon me while I reminisce over my (recent) past.
…
Actually, I know what you mean about Nothingleft Tosay. 🙂
This is random, but I’m thinking about writing some KP Lit even though KP shut down. Or maybe it’ll be a mix of KP and SE. We’ll see.
@warrenluther04 I think I know who your guildmaster…[Read more]

@gabriellepollack Thanks! Yeah, it was originally twice that long, but I tried to get it as close to the word count as possible. It’s still over. Maybe I should have just left it. 🙂

@gabriellepollack So how many guilds are there now? Also, is she in charge of Erekdale?

@valtmy Hey! Great to see another KeePer. Do you plan to join a guild?
-
Ben P replied to the topic File has arrived! in the forum Introduce Yourself 6 years, 11 months ago
@filewriter Erekdale? I’ve not heard of that one. I guess there’s more than three then. I only knew of Avensbeck, Rillumen, and New Wessex.
I’m 17, though I feel like I should be at least one year younger. 😉
Okay, I have to ask, who is Nothingleft Tosay?

Ben P replied to the topic File has arrived! in the forum Introduce Yourself 6 years, 11 months ago
@filewriter I’m in Avensbeck. I haven’t seen you there so I’m guessing you’re in one of the others. Yeah, there are quite a few Kapeefers here.
Cute dog, btw. 🙂
(I’m sorry, B-bot. I’m not trying to steal your name! It’s just that our names happen to start with the same letter, and we’re both robots of a sort, so… 😉 )

@gabriellepollack Well, I’m not sure if this is exactly what you meant, but here’s what I wrote:

Trent marched through the battlefield along with the rest of the soldiers in his company, heading towards the last stronghold of the enemy. Sleet drizzled over the field, mixing with the churned earth to form cold, slick mud. Trent sighed…[Read more]

Wow, great job, everybody! Of course I’m partial to Avensbeck, but Rillumen and New Wessex’s pieces were both great.

Ben P replied to the topic Welcome to the Guild Wars! in the forum Announcements 6 years, 11 months ago
@morreafirebird Okay, here are a couple of suggestions. I may come up with more later.
1) First off, I was slightly confused when I read your story as to what was going on with the doorway and all that. I figured it out by the end, but I had to re-read a couple of sections. So that could be clarified.
2) The sunrise could also be more expounded…[Read more]
