@brie-donning Ooh, yeah, car accidents are no fun at all. : I was rear-ended a year and a half ago. Not one bit fun. So glad you’re okay, though!
@wordsmith I think all of Rillumen got slammed with life stuffs at the same time. xP

Hahaha! I changed it recently. xD Glad you like it!
That does make sense! *nods* Definitely sounds like it’ll be an interesting couple of character arcs. 😀

Hey! I don’t have much to add to this, except that the whole hero-to-villain storyline is soooo sad, but it does sound like a really interesting story. 😀 One question, more for you to consider than specifically for you to answer (though answers are good too)…if the character who originally appears to be the hero isn’t really, is there an actual…[Read more]

@graceabounds2129 Ohhhh, this. Hm. Well, this got shelved for the time being. I got a full time job a few weeks ago, and my life has been glorious insanity ever since. xD

Oh fun!
So first of all, encouragement: Yay, you! That’s so exciting, and whether your work is accepted or rejected to any given place, the writing and submitting is such an important part of the writer’s journey too. <3 I know it’s going to be wonderful and annoying and stressful and downright one of the craziest, funnest things you’ve ever…[Read more]

Ohhh yeah! I literally just wrote one of these a month or so ago. 😀
The only way I could help write is if there was some way to team up on it. I definitely should not offer to write the whole thing like last time. : But it would be so much fun to do!

Yes. Lol.
In general, I like to plan things–writing or otherwise–but I don’t generally plot/outline in huge detail. It depends on the story, honestly.

I have a character (Evangeline) who worked well and really came alive in the character lounge, but in her own story, she feels flat to me, and lacking sufficient motivation for the actions she’s taking (or not taking). Normally I don’t have this kind of trouble getting a story to move forward. Any ideas for getting out of this rut? Either with the…[Read more]

Hey you! *smothers you with encouragement* Naturally the night I didn’t peek in here was the night somebody asked for encouragement. *hides face in hands*
Full time job is exhausting me, but it’s good, but I haven’t written anything lately, but I want to, but I’m tired. Yup. That about covers it. You? 😀

A woman (George) walked up to the counter beside Peter, flashed some kind of identification, and demanded to know what had happened.
The kid behind the counter was making coffee using muscle memory only, it appeared. He was apparently struck dumb by whatever happened, so Peter spoke for him. “Beats me, ma’am,” he glanced sidelong at her, then…[Read more]

This is such an interesting topic!
Now, I’m not a guy, but I *think* (correct me, @wordsmith, if I’m wrong about this) that guys’ crying also tends to be triggered differently than girls’… From my observations, guys tend to cry because something touches them emotionally (joy, sadness, pain, whatever it may be). They may not cry about it right…[Read more]

948 words today for me, unless I write more later, which I doubt will happen.

So um…I actually misplaced some of my word count. Probably a few hundred words. I don’t know. I don’t like this month-long word war thing…too many numbers to keep track of. xP BUT…I do have 812 words to add from yesterday. So I’ll do that before I forget those words too. *cough* I’m a mess y’all. *hides face in hands*

Despite best laid plans of mice and men (apparently mice are planners???), I am not doing a fabulous job of producing bunches of words this time around. At least for this last half of the month, I can blame it on having a new full-time job and completely upending my usual routine. 😛
Three cheers for the rest of you, though…y’all are being so…[Read more]
