Okay, I’m not sure who is on here right now. Are you still wanting to write this @kjames0813. I don’t think we need fantasy at all for someone to burn a town. Though a good question is why does the villain burn down the town. I’m not entirely sure if the whole birthday present thing works with the story we have come up with. Does he do it cause…[Read more]

I like about everything you just said… I think they are guys probably between 18-25. I’m not too worried about names.
*gasp
Honestly, I don’t mind if If you are not into history. Just knowing the town and culture is the reason I asked.

So we need to think about the time era and the size of the town. I’m guessing its pretty small. Are we thinking like a western town? What culture do these people come from… The villain could possibly come from somewhere outside the culture of this said town and the protagonist. Should the Villian be the same age, gender… etc
Is our town…[Read more]

I don’t think I can vote for my own idea but I am really excited about what that story could be!!!

So with what you all are saying the city burning in the end idea could still kind of fit!!! Like if the hero knows the villain is going to burn down the city and can’t stop him and in the end, the city burns down and everyone has to leave. So the last scene would kinda physically represent the burning of his old life and choosing something b…[Read more]

Hey, everyone, shall we take a tally and begin writing?? I can’t wait to see what we come up with!!!
I thought another aspect that might help us narrow down the story would be to think about the character we want to write about and who they are.
Do you all have any new ideas or…[Read more]

What if the story was third person somehow and the town is destroyed but somehow the would be hero has a reason to think he has begun to get through to the villain and in the end the town burns down and its really sad but it is about somehow the way they changed the villain or maybe the vilian does have a major change of heart and nobody knows…[Read more]

Okay wow, I’m so excited!!! we shall come out swinging!!
So a non-traditional happy ending to me is when someone is in a bad circumstance or one they are not entirely happy with and come to terms with it It can still be sad or numerous other things but that’s my basic idea of what a non-traditional happy story ending is. The poem Libby posted th…[Read more]

Wow, this really hits home for me. I’ve never had a super serious injury but having scoliosis surgery left me unable to do a lot of the things I wanted to as a young teenager and the struggles you talked about were definitely there. The hardest thing was probably not being able to pick up my little sister due to weight limits and having to rely on…[Read more]

You are totally not spamming, I tagged all my fellow Naplingers so I’m glad you jumped in…
I think so, not my absolute favorite books but worth the read and like I said they did really good with language and characterization.

((okay this is a character I know will be in my next book but not really sure what the story will be. She is still pretty underdeveloped and a few things might change about her along the way. And can I say this is an Awesome exercise!!!))
Name: Clarissa
Age: about 15-19 (I’m not entirely sure yet, basically she is a young…[Read more]

Sorry I haven’t been part of this conversation before. I missed the part about real-world stuff and didn’t really know how to contribute as I don’t really have experience in Fantasy
As I may have mentioned before I basically write his-fic and that has sorts of language differences involved. And then there’s also the different cultures within…[Read more]

Hey wanted to say welcome though it’s a little late. I haven’t been on here much this year so I just now saw you joined.
I was introduced to the Wingfeather Saga about two years ago and I have to admit at first I was not crazy about it but by the second and third I was in love… I have yet to read the fourth.

That’s funny I tend to write a little more dramatic than I talk in real life but my Sis says she can almost always tell when I wrote something. Except for the weird story, I started writing the other day that sounded like hunger games styles (futuristic catastrophe stories) and was totally like that because I had no ideas and was…[Read more]
