@ashlyvye Other than writing…hmmm…is “reading” the cheater answer? XD
If I couldn’t be an author, I’d be A) a human rights lawer at the UN, B) a director/producer of feature films, C) a historian who runs a popular blog that makes people in history relatable and empathetic, or D) an investment banker. (In descending order of interest.)
@thetessinator No, don’t go back into your whole! Because if you do, then I have to, too! XD Let’s just be buddies instead. 😉
@corkybookworm *waves back*
Children’s ministry degree? It was a one year course at a Bible Institute that included a summer internship at their camp ministry. So lots of Bible classes, lots of hands on practise, and then 9 weeks of having anywhere from ten to twenty eight to twelve year old girls. (One week I had 25 but that was a freak week.)…[Read more]
@ashlyvye I knoooooowwww! Irish werewolves are AWESOME! *is also Irish* *gives you a fist bump*
Wind Walkers are an Indian story my dad told me as a little girl about legendary warriors who would rise up to protect their people when the Everglades were endangered. They had the ability to run faster, hit harder, and fight longer than any other…[Read more]
@silverclaw-bonnetfolly Hahaha, if you only knew what a procrastinator I can be sometimes…my first book took ten years to publish. 😉 Buuuuttt…it is an awesome feeling to be published and publishing again!
Operation October is a cool name! I chose it for the code name because of the month…and because the book is set in October. 😉 I’m…[Read more]
@sarah-vdh XD Forums just freak me out…it’s like being in a crowded room but never being sure who’s listening or who you’re *really* taking to.
Tongue twisters are so cool! Do you remember what yours was?
@ashlyvye Hahahaha, yeah, I meant which part of Florida! XD Sarasota is a great area, we go there on day trips to museums and gardens! I’m in the Fort Myers area so less than two hours away. 🙂
Your work in progress sounds so cool! And I sympathize with the genre confusion…I never know what genre to call my books. *sigh*
I called my WIP by a…[Read more]
@ashlyvye Wow, Canada to Florida is a big move! What part of Canada are you looking at moving to?
I love Avensbeck!
That is a hard question because I have several projects going on at once. 😉
1) My book Otherworld: The Book of Things That Are is coming out in paperback in August, so I’m up to my eyebrows in prep.
2) I’m writing a rough draft…[Read more]
My goals for this week:
*Write 10,00 words
*Send Otherworld (my book coming out in August) to my #StorySquad (basically my review team. 😉
*Edit the bonus short story that’s going to be in the back of Otherworld
*Add front and back matter to Otherworld
*Name my chapters
@kiraelizabeth Love your last goal! I’m in the process of formatting my book to be published and this is the part I *hate.* So I need to remind myself to enjoy the process as much as I can!! Hey, a bad day of being an author still beats a good day being anything else. 😉
@elizabeth Hey! I bet you can tell I’m on Instagram waaaaay more than on Story Embers, lol. XD
hmmm…choosing a favorite place/beach in Florida is WAY TOO HARD. I love Harns Marsh, 6 Mile Cypress, Bowditch Point, Fort Desoto, Captiva…etc etc etc. Is your family moving to Florida soon or is Florida just on your list of places you want to live? Where do you live now?
I did start writing at seven! I wouldn’t believe it if…[Read more]
@gabriellepollack I just registered! How will I know whether it went through/where to record my word counts? (This challenge is soooo my style. I love tracking my word counts!)
Wow, Brandon! This really needed to be said! I remember feeling the exact same way about The Fault in Our Stars as you did about Turtles–it is so heartwrenching to see people write beautifully compelling questions and then stand at a loss when it’s time for answers. (I think a lot of F Scott Fitzgerald’s work is exactly like this.) Thanks for the…[Read more]
@overcomer Oooooohhhh, this is going down the COMING Monday. *facepalm*
@sarah-narnathron *high fives back*
My first book is about a girl named Liz and a boy named Tim, who find a magical portal and discover that Liz is the queen of Lufrednow. So, you’re typical portal fantasy, but I had a lot of fun making a whole bunch of fun places and characters. 😉 *is really bad at self promotion*
