Hey, sorry. I got about 300 words written. Not much, I know but I was experiencing a bit of mild writer’s block. Nothing serious, but it did cause a bit of an impediment. 🙂

I’m already going at it. 😉

Sounds like my sort of thing. There’s nothing like a good challenge to push me. Hey, I’ve almost finished a novel I’ve had in my head for years because of NaNoWriMo…thirty minutes of concentrated writing sounds great.

@serenity Haha, you’re fine. I could try that. Usually at that point I’m in transit between the coffee shop and home, but I could stretch out my stay at the coffee shop for that. 🙂
Pardon my ignorance but what exactly does one do in a word sprint?

This is so great. Since I’m doing NaNoWriMo, I have a word count to be proud of with 17,875 words so far. Hopefully I can end the month with 50,000!

Thank You. This is good to think about. Some of these I’ve gotten down already, some of them, not so much. I’m hoping at least, to get the first draft written, whatever the case.

Sorry I forgot that this was going on and didn’t keep track. I have no idea how many words I’ve written this past week, though I know it’s been at least 100.

Very well done. Thank you. I have to say, violence was one of those things I never much minded until about four years ago when a couple of my siblings took me to see Kingsman which I would not recommend to anyone. Like the guardians of the galaxy scene you all mentioned the part that was most disturbing was when they played up beat music while all…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 why thank you. I really hope I shall. 🙂
@martina you’re right. I probably should have kept on trying regardless of how many words I got down. I guess I’m a perfectionist and if I didn’t get all 50,000 words it felt like failing and I’m not very good at taking failure. I do need to get better at that if I’m going to be a dec…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 So, in 2014, I tried to do it. The operative word being tried. 😉 I was so unsuccessful, staggeringly so, in fact, I think I got about 125 words down and didn’t write a thing after the fourth day, that I have not dared to touch NaNoWriMo since then with the end of a forked stick. Well, a few of my friends brought it up this year and…[Read more]

I guess I just feel like if we do anything from Mona Lisa’s perspective, everybody’s going to be doing that…it was the first thing I thought of and I bet someone else is going to do it. Time travel, Da Vinci, and a future artist who doesn’t understand her, however, that, I think, is more unique! 🙂 I don’t know, I’m just thinking out loud…[Read more]

I have to say, my favorite of all the ideas is definitely Leonardo Da Vinci traveling to present day. @libby I like your idea too. The dialogue posted on the first page was brilliant as well. What if Da Vinci traveled to this little aspiring artist and said little boy and Da Vinci have a discussion on Mona Lisa each interpreting her from his…[Read more]

So, a lot of my writing I do on paper before I transfer to an online document, I have about three notebooks in which I regularly write. It’s all fiction, but does it count? Of course it means I’ll have to do the word count manually, but I can manage it for a week.

@law0413 wonderful. Well, if you ever need a beta reader… 😉
To be honest, I started writing the story on a whim during a sermon one Sunday morning…not a practice I would advocate, however, there we have it. I really don’t know where it came from, and I spent no time brainstorming. 😉

Alright, I’m not ready to share my main story with anybody yet but here’s the advertisement to one story I’m working on that’s currently on Wattpad.
“Tall, strong, brash Clarke Heller was just a turnip man selling vegetables to the high and mighty folks along the canal walk. He was, that is, until a canal walk gentleman gives him the choice to go…[Read more]
