I need the help of all the “villains” out there:

Suppose you work at a country/village hospital, and are looking for a little extras cash. Obviously you turn to the more shady ways of doing things. You want a non-murder (after all, you don’t want to hang), non sexual crime.

You are not a doctor or nurse, your occupation is more of the unseen people who help the hospital run… like cook, environmental staff (electrician, plumber, etc.), janitor, receptionist, etc.

For the style & setting, think 1940-50’s Agatha Christie.

      What is your crime?

      What is your occupation?

      Thanks!

Hi! That already sounds like a really fun premise!

Let me see, I think the most likely way to make money without getting in too much trouble would be to steal and sell things.

The safer, more obvious choice would be tools. I don’t know how it works for the setting, but surgical tools might be worth something and it would be easy enough to slip them out under the excuse that someone else lost them. (Perhaps they blame one of the more inexperienced nurses/doctors)

A more interesting choice, and perhaps a more realistic one, would be selling prescription medicine without a prescription. Basically, selling drugs. If the character was a pharmacist, they would have access to the medicine and it would be easy enough to steal and sell it. If they were in charge of the pharmacy, it would be easy enough to mess with the records so nobody notices it’s gone missing.

        I hope this helped!

Without darkness, there is no light. If there was no nighttime, would the stars be as bright?

I like the pharmacy idea. Thank you Rose!
