“Julian, wait!” Kallun stepped up and watched the shadow of the form now crouched on a branch. He glared at the shadow, “You dirty snake! Get down here right now!”

Julian still gripped onto his sword but held his other arm out in front of the princess. “What is it?” he asked Kallun

“A.. snake.” Kallun muttered, watching the form.

    The shadow laughed.

”Get down here, Pia!!” Kallun yelled, almost angrily.

The shadow jumped down, holding a Thabian pike, and a very special one. “Can I trust your companions?” It asked. It was a female, her voice was hard but smooth like honey.

“Yes.” He replied, eyes never leaving her. She was still standing in the shadows, and no one could see her well.

Ellie tried to walk forward, but Julian had his arm in front of her. She scowled and pushed it away then stood next to Kallun. “Kallun?”

Kallun’s eyes never left the shadowed figure. “It’s okay.” He whispered, “I think.” He stepped towards the figure, “Please come out.”

the figure hesitated for a moment before closing the space between them. The person was wearing a mixture of gray and beige robes with some lightweight sand-colored armor. Kallun reached up and took off the helmet of the person. This revealed her to be a young woman, maybe around 19.
She had long strawberry-brown hair that was let loose without the helmet. Big piercing brown eyes stared at him. She was pretty, and taller than Eliana. She dropped her pike.

Kallun blinked slowly. “I thought you were dead.” His voice cracked, revealing his emotion which he hid away on his face.

    “well, I’m not.” She retorted.

he dropped her helmet and wrapped his arms around her in a hug. She returned the embrace.

Eliana stood there awkwardly wondering how these people knew each other. Siblings maybe? They really don’t look that much alike… A couple?

The hug was lengthy, but soon the girl, Pia, pulled away and smacked him on his shoulder.
    “Ow! Hey!”
“that what you deserve! I should slug you good for leaving me in Thabia!”
Kallun rubbed his shoulder. “But Thabia-“

”don’t you dare say that Thabia is my home!” Her walls broke and she hugged him again. “You’re my home.”

(did that sound weird to you? xD)

Julian, who was still behind the rest, cleared his throat.

    (a little, yeah XD)

Kallun pulled away and straightened. “Oh. Pia, this is Princess Eliana and, uh, Julian.” He turned to them, “This is Princess Pia Aphitsu of the Thabian Empire.” Pia gave them a regal nod.

“It’s nice to meet you, Princess” Eliana said with a small curtsey

“yes.” Pia replied shortly. She turned to Kallun, “Now what are you doing here?”
Kallun sighed, “we have to stop the wizard (a wizard guy right?), he’s destroying everything.”
Pia nodded. She picked up both her pike and her helmet.

(Yes. Zerak or something like that. Also, I love how he just told her that a wizard was destroying everything and she just acts like that’s everyday life for her XD)

“Wait hold up, how do you guys know each other? Are you siblings?” Eliana a asked unable to hide her curiosity any longer

Both laughed softly. “No.” Kallun replied. “We were classmates at Espa and are best friends. I made that pike for her.”

Pia smirked. “I am better at a sword than Kallun.”
    Kallun groaned.
    “I am.”

”I know that.” He replied. “She’s also knowledgeable in the terrain we will be crossing.”

And I may not be a user of magic, like Kal’n, but I know my way around and against one.” She smacked his shoulder teasingly.
