So, I don’t know about you guys, but I personally think fictional holidays are a great excuse to eat cake.

Accordingly, today I made cake and celebrated Biblo and Frodo’s birthday with a couple of friends. (While maintaining social distance. Stay safe, guys. :D).

Do you guys have any favorite fictional holidays or traditions you got from books?

Well, I want to celebrate my upcoming birthday like Janner’s (Wingfeather Saga) thirteenth birthday. Honey muffins instead of a cake and (instead of being blindplopped) going hiking.

You celebrated Frodo and Bilbo’s birthday! That’s really cool! Maybe next year my sister and I could do that with some of my other LotR-loving friends…

Ooh honey muffins sounds good. And haha I understand choosing hiking over blindplopping.

    There’s always next year. 🙂

Ooo! I’ll have to think on this, but Dragon Day Festival is certainly up there 😀 And your parties sound fun! I never thought of doing that….

I light the arrow, pull the bow,
Shoot that fire right through my soul.

Oh! Dragon day festival is a good one too. Does it have a date that translates to human time? If so I may have to play Leeli’s song on a loop…so long as my family doesn’t go too crazy from it. 🙂

So, yay! I did celebrate my b-day similar to Janner’s. My mom made honeymuffins for breakfast, and for dinner we had henmeat biscuit pie. Yum! Thank you Andrew Peterson for putting those wonderful recipes in your books.

P.S. My mom makes this really good potato soup, and one day I was looking at the recipe for Cheesy Chowder on the Wingfeather site. Turns out, my mom’s potato soup is pretty much Cheesy Chowder. Just a funny story that kinda relates to this topic.
