Hi! I’m up for more castle craziness! These past couple of months have been packed, but things have slowed down a bit.

@inkhorn sounds good!  I’m kind of wondering if maybe we should start somewhere new, instead of picking up where we started….thoughts?  Although the fashion show would be fun….but we also could save it for when more people are free.

I’m also considering maybe taking out Val and bringing in a brand new character, since she seems to be developing better outside the castle :’)

It probably would be best to save it for later. I’m drawing blank on what challenge/activity to cook up next for our characters though…

If you guys are up for it, what do you think of having our characters meet their hero? It wouldn’t require for a lot of people to be active.

    Hi! I’m a little late, but I’m here😀
I would love more CC shenanigans! I’ll try my best to keep up, although I do have a job & school🙂

A long-hidden tale may hold the answers-and the healing-they so desperately seek.

Hello! I’m new here, but I was wondering, is this character castle still active? If it is, is there room for an extra person?

Do not be anxious about tomorrow; tomorrow will be anxious about itself.

    Hi, Abrielle!

I am Inkhorn (as my username and tag both state xP), and it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance though it is through the Internet.

I’m not sure how many people are still active since SE has been pretty dead lately, but since summer has started, it might kick up again.

I’ll tag some of the others from the Castle.

    Nice to meet you, Inkhorn!

Are you guys interested in doing character castle stuff, or is everyone kinda busy? I totally get it if you’re too busy for it, I’m going to be pretty busy to.

Do not be anxious about tomorrow; tomorrow will be anxious about itself.

Cool! And do you guys want to go through with the fashion show, or is it alright if I try something different?

    @abrielle

You’re welcome to come up with something different since the fashion show would probably work better with more characters. 🙂

Also, what characters do you plan on putting in the Castle? (If you need me to post my character’s profiles, I am more than willing to do so)

In addition to that I would like to mention that anyone else who is interested is welcome to join. *the statement echoes in the still chambers of Story Embers* *waits expectantly for the sudden rush that has often occurred after dry spells*

Oh, and there’s one more person I forgot to tag (because that is what happens when you copy & paste someone else’s list).

Sounds good! I’ll try to post character profiles when I have a little more time.

“Denari, give up your most prized possession or take part in my fashion show,” Lord Castle said in his deep voice.

    Denari?

The room’s inhabitants were craning o get a glimpse of the newcomer when the door at the other end of the room flew open with a resounding boom. The young woman who stepped in was not particularly tall, nor was she dressed like royalty, yet she caried herself like a queen. Her straight black hair hung loose to her waist and she glanced about with an air of wide-eyed innocence even as her mouth curled upward in an impish smile.

“Look on me and tremble!” the woman announced without preamble, her voice carrying through the hall with surprising force. “For your time of freedom is over; the reign of terror is begun! I am now the sovereign ruler of this vast domain, and all who dare to defy me shall perish miserably.”

Before anyone could respond to this absurd statement, Lord Castle himself appeared beside her, radiating disapproval.

“Loki Rhianna, give up your most prized possession or take part in my fashion show,” he commanded.

Smiling up at him, the girl resembled nothing so much as a mischievous pixie, for she was a good two feet shorter than he was. “Its ‘the Loki’, not ‘Loki’,” she informed Lord Castle. “My title, you know. You can drop it entirely and just call me Rhianna, unless you want to call me ‘Queen Rhianna’, which would be just peachy.”

Rhianna then attempted a scowl and demanded in her previous regal tones, “Who are you?”

Lord Castle’s scowl was far more convincing than Rhianna’s. “I am this castle’s ruler. It obeys my every command, and so will you, Loki Rhianna, if you know what is good for you. Now, participate in my fashion show or suffer my extreme displeasure.”

Rhianna seemed to consider this speech highly enlightening. Turning to the silent onlookers, she stretched out her hands and addressed them.

“How can we live under such tyranny? Surely it is not life at all, but a mere farce. To be daily subjected to the whims of a cruel and capricious lord, is that life? What freedom? What of your dreams? Our agency and independence are slowly being stripped away from us until we are just puppets on strings. No more!” Before, Rhianna had been growing positively teary, but now her voice was firm. “Let us throw off the chains of oppression! Rise up and claim our rightful freedoms! Who will fight with me?”

Lord Castle decided he had had enough and reached out to grab Rhianna, cutting short her passionate appeal. The girl nimbly evaded him and dashed across the room to where the others were gathered. Paying no mind to Lord Castle, who was booming dire threats, she grabbed hold of two people and dragged them with her across the stage and behind the curtain.

With a flushed and happy expression, Rhianna turned to her two companions.

“Well, that was fun!” she exclaimed, green eyes sparkling.

Do not be anxious about tomorrow; tomorrow will be anxious about itself.

By the way, Rhianna thinks she is dreaming. She’s not normally quite that … ummm, whatever that was up there. Denari is my other character. I didn’t have anybody particularly in mind for who, exactly, Rhianna dragged behind the curtain.

Do not be anxious about tomorrow; tomorrow will be anxious about itself.
