Hey guys! I just had a random idea (hence the title, A Random Idea) I don’t know if anyone would be interested in doing this or not, but it might be fun.

I love movies as much as I love reading, and I came up with the idea of writing a sequel to a favorite movie. If that makes sense… Here’s an example in case no one can understand my language XD

One of my favorite movies is Napoleon Dynamite and I’ve heard rumors of a second one, but I’m sure that they’re true, so I’ve decided to write my own.

Another idea is to write a new episode of your favorite TV show.

Like I said, IDK if this would be fun to anyone else or not, but I thought I’d just out the idea out there.

If you decide to do it, I’d love to hear about it! 🙂

@erynne What format are you imagining? A screenplay, or a book that would follow the movie?

This is likely to sound super silly because of what it is, but after watching the Descendants movies I had an idea for a book that would essentially be a sequel to the series. They’re obviously super cheesy Disney movies. XD But the characters and world actually have a lot of potential, and there was a concept I thought would be really cool to explore following the third movie, so I made a bunch of notes and then… didn’t do anything with them. XD

But yeah, the writing sequels to movies and TV shows is a fun idea! 🙂

Ooh! Nice idea, Erynne! This sounds super fun! We’ve actually got something very similar to this on here, the “Wingfeather Saga 5th book RP”. There’s no 5th book of the series, and it ends on a massive cliffhanger (not saying here; MASSIVE spoiler), so some featherheads and I decided to “finish” the Wingfeather Saga. I probably won’t do this, because I already have four/five collaborative stories on top of my own books, but it sound really, really cool.

Writer’s choice! That’s the best part of being the writer, no one tells you how to do it (usually). I was kind of thinking screenplay for myself, but whatever you want to do is good!

I’ve never seen Descendents but I really want to see it! The plot sounds pretty cool! Plus, I used to binge watch a Dove Cameron show all the time when I was younger so it’d be kinda cool to see her in movies.

Oh, and, don’t worry, you’re not the only one who does that 😉 I’ve made notes and mentally written I don’t know how many episodes to my favorite TV shows 😂

Cool! Thank you for not spoiling 😂

I didn’t think there was a 5th book, so I was kind of confused on that, but it’s all cleared up now. I am kinda upset that the series ends like that though! That’s just not the type of series that should end like that XD More room for imagination I guess.

Yeah, and while I’m still kinda unhappy it ended on a cliffhanger, I can see why AP did it. And yeah, more room for the imagination, I guess.
