second one could be from any of the last three Wingfeather Saga books.

You got it right! The Dibbin trio star in Mariel of Redwall and The Bellmaker. The above quote is from Mariel! The hare speaking is Tarquin Woodsorrel, which is what I almost named my pet rabbit. My pet is named Baysil (After Basil Stag Hare). I was a little obsessed, LOL.
