@erynneFinishing written work is an exciting thing. One wise person once said
“There’s nothing like holding your book in your hands and just be like THIS IS MINE I DID THIS”
or something like that.
Anyways, this is just a place for you to share what you’re most excited for once you are a published and known author. (Because if you truly work for that it’ll happen 😉)
This can be kind of an encouragement to all of us to keep going with our writing. Sometimes we just need that boost.
So tell me, what are you looking forward to most as a published author?
Is it hearing people refer to it when they give out writing advice?
People shipping your characters?
Getting that New York Times best seller sticker that every single book gets?
I can’t wait to hear y’alls answers! 🙂
@sparrowhawke @ajstoryteller @anyoneBe weird. Be random. Be who you are. Because you ever know who would love the person you hide.

@rose-colored-fancyTbh, I don’t know if I’m ever going to publish. (definitely not soon)
But something I’d absolutely love and am already getting glimpses of is just people loving your characters. I mean, you all here on SE have shown me how absolutely delightful it is when I can share my characters with someone else.
I would really, really love to have a fandom one day. Just a group of people who love my books as much as I do, who think about my characters and make stupid memes about them, people who analyze the books to find the subtext and make excited posts about it, and people who think of my characters when they hear a particular song.
I just want someone to love my stories, almost as much as I do. I spend time, energy and tears on this because it makes me so happy, and I want it to make someone else happy too. I want my characters to make hard things a little easier for someone.
(I’m getting way too emotional over this XD)

@erynneThat made me emotional too XD
Those are all things I would adore. I know I do that to books and characters, it would mean the world for someone to do it to mine.
My things would be for people to cry over my books. I love books that make me cry and I would love to crush someone’s soul because I killed off their favorite character or something happened that made them cry.
Another thing would be for people to be able to relate to my characters. I want someone to say that so and so is their favorite character because they can relate to them and understand them.
And my final thing, the thing I would ad most thrilled about, is fan mail. I am total fangirl and there are many many authors and celebrities that I would love to write to and if heard a response I would… Probably need to be hospitalized to be honest 😂 If I could do that to someone else, get them excited because the author of this book that they love responded to their letter or email, that would mean more to me than my response does to them.
Of course that sounds really selfish but I’ve always loved that idea

@ajstorytellerHahaha, definitely haven’t been fantasizing about this half my life, no way…
ANYWAYS
One thing I am looking forward to are the theories. I like to sprinkle hints here and there throughout my stories, and I’m curious to see if people will connect the dots.
I like to imagine what it’d be like in other mediums, like an animated movie or show, or a videogame.
To be honest, the idea of publishing does terrify me. It’s definitely not going to happen for a while, that’s for sure.
I guess the thing I’ll be most excited for is the satisfaction that it finally exists. I’ve had this story bouncing around in my head for almost seven years now, and up until this years it was only released through scribbles and abandoned chapter ones. Now I’m finally writing the story I always wanted to read, and I like to think my twelve year old self would’ve been absolutely thrilled with what I have now.
On a less sappy note, I’m also looking forward to being cryptic. I invented a coded alphabet for a reason. >:)

@sparrowhawkeI’d love to see the fan wiki pages and all the theories and timelines as to how all my stories connect. And fanart and fan-created merch like jewelry and t-shirts and cosplaying–man that would be cool. And I think it would be awesome to do a tabletop RPG based off my storyworld.

@erynne@ajstoryteller and @sparrowhawke
Those are all so amazing! I would love to experience that as well. I’m really enjoying what everyone has to say!
