@ericawordsmith Wellllllll it depends, but usually no. I like ordering stuff in weird accents. Half my crushes have been people working at restaurants and grocery stores. And I’m in the habit of getting weird stuff (plain burger patties) at Burger King, and the people behind the counter are always like “whaaaaat???” and I’m like HAVE YOU NOT HEARD OF LOW-CARBING???? But I say it nicer. Once I said “Pretty much what I’d like is for you to go back to that little warmer bin thingie *points*, get out two hamburger patties, and put them in something so I can carry them please? *big smile*”
You always get what you want when you smile. And when the restaurant’s responsibility is to get you what you want. And when you smile. >w0

January 7, 2019 at 4:51 pm #70121R.M. Archer@r-m-archerDoes extroversion end at ordering fast food/checking out at a store for yβall? Courage fails me while ordering food, and I generally get into horribly awkward situations while doing that. I mean, just asking for a refill is awkward for me. XD Just ENFP thoughtsβ¦
Not for me. Actually, I’ve grown pretty comfortable ordering food. But I’m not likely to ask for a refill or call the waiter over for something because I feel like I’m inconveniencing them. (Which makes no sense, I know, since it’s their job, but that’s my mental process.) So basically, I’m comfortable so long as they initiate, lol.

January 7, 2019 at 4:59 pm #70123Veraza Winterknight@kari-karastOh hi! I think I like you.
YES. EXTROVERTED BUT SOCIALLY AWKWARD. THAT’S ME. THAT’S SO TOTALLY ME.
Ahem. Hi! I’m Kari Karast! Er… not really she’s actually my character.
Actual Kari: Hi…
Me: But anyway. HI! I’m also known as The Deranged Ninja. (I’m literally called Ninja in real life. Tis me nickname.)
January 7, 2019 at 5:05 pm #70126eden anderson@eden-andersonI wondered when it would come back around…π
Uh, so to answer your question: Does extroversion end with ordering fast food/checking out at a store for ya’ll?
To be honest…not really. I have this thing where I actually like talking to cashiers and waiters and people behind counters. Especially if they seem kinda grouchy or frazzled, I love trying to be cheerful and happy and make them smile. It so much fun! And if they are friendly, I like striking up conversations with them.
Although when I was younger, I was terrified of ordering at fast-food restaurants because to little sheltered me, ordering food was a SCARY ordeal. I mean sometimes I’m still slightly nervous but that’s just because I’m afraid I’ll do something stupid…for example one time I went to Arby’s with some of my siblings and of course they madeΒ meΒ order first. So I marched boldly up to the counter, ordered my food, and promptly turned away and walked off to wait for it. It took me a little while before I noticed my brother violently motioning at me. Confused I walked over to him and he said in a rather loud whisper, “Did you pay?” And to my horror, I realized that I hadn’t. Feeling like an idiot, I cut in front of my sister who was ordering and catching the guy’s attention, I started to tell him that I’d forgotten to pay and he just smiled, looking rather confused, and replied slowly, “Oh, I thought you were together…” He motioned to my sister. So, my sister kindly piped up and was like, “Sure, we’re together.”
It doesn’t sound very awkward, but it was. π So, sometimes ordering food is intimidating, but not usually. π

January 7, 2019 at 8:40 pm #70209Evelyn@evelynI’ve taken the test three times and every time I’ve gotten ENFP. Thing is… that used to feel right and it described me perfectly, but then I moved last year and I started to think I was an introvert. Anyone else relate? πΒ I took it again today though and got the same thing… so… guess I’m still an extrovert… ? xD
Anyways, hey everyone! This looks like a fun thread. Sorry to get here late! π
January 7, 2019 at 8:43 pm #70211Veraza Winterknight@kari-karastI’ve actually only taken the test once…
(Although my introverted/extroverted results were SUPER close.)
January 7, 2019 at 8:48 pm #70213Evelyn@evelyn@kari-karast Well, it was 60/40-ish so that probably explains it. π
Plus after a couple months I’m starting to feel more like myself here and so maybe it was just shock from moving for the first time in my life. π
January 7, 2019 at 8:54 pm #70215Veraza Winterknight@kari-karastYeek! The first time!? That’s tough. I moved over here a couple of years ago. It wasΒ my first time too. And yeah. Tough…
What it is for me is that if IΒ know the person then I’mΒ pretty extroverted. But if it’s a stranger I can get… *winces* shy…
Is it like that for you?
January 7, 2019 at 9:59 pm #70246Evelyn@evelyn@kari-karast Yep. Sounds familiar. With friends I’m the loudest person in the room. xD And then with strangers… suddenly out of my depth. π
Maybe because I don’t have much experience with strangers?
Anyways, glad I’m not the only one! π

XD The thing is… I can talk to strangers comfortably, but a) they have to initiate the conversation most of the time or chances are I’ll feel like I’m imposing, b) if I’m in a group chances are I’m not going to talk much because I’ll feel like I’m interrupting, and c) I’m terrible at coming up with conversation topics. XP

January 7, 2019 at 10:25 pm #70263Veraza Winterknight@kari-karastI can come up with conversation topics. But they normally involve either my writing, or books I’ve read. Or the other person’s writing. XD
January 7, 2019 at 10:29 pm #70264R.M. Archer@r-m-archerLOL. I tend to try to come up with things that relate to the group I’m in (usually choir), but that doesn’t always work. There’s a guy in choir that a friend of mine got to join, and he’s the third guy she’s brought and the first who’s stuck around, so I want to ask him what made him stick around and if he has prior choir experience and that kind of thing (he’s really confident already), but I haven’t gotten around to it because he’s always busy talking to someone else. XP Other than that the best I can come up with is usually compliments, which are nice but don’t really start conversations real often. π

Ha! What a coincidence! Same here! Only, it seems like half the people in my choir are writers. So that’s nice.
January 7, 2019 at 10:50 pm #70279Evelyn@evelyn@r-m-archer You’re in a choir? Do you mind if I ask whether it is a church choir?
Because if not… then well… since we uh.. live in the same general area *waves hands mysterious* π
Anyways… well my brothers just tried out for a local choir. *shrugs* What would be the chances that it is the same one! π
