So… *takes deep breath* I think I aspired a little high for this one. But, with my success writing Kingdom Pen’s national anthem, I decided to give a go at a poem for us here. It’s more a battle song, really. Anyways, hope y’all like it.

      Story Embers

      Blazing

      Burning

      We raise our standard high

      Every member

      Writing

      Fighting

We reach to touch the sky

      Land of dreams

      Exploring

      Ruling

      Wearing the author’s crown

      We return

      Inspired

      Eager

      To put the stories down

      A wizard’s skill

      Apprentice

      Master

We all have made our start

      In weaving words

      Sorrowful

      Hopeful

      That touch a reader’s heart

      A question

      Mocking

      Asking

Why fill the world with stories?

      When most are forgotten

      Ignored

      Abandoned

Why give your time to these?

      This is our answer

      Proclaimed

      Proudly

      Let this our anthem ring

      The stories are there

      So that

      You know

      We’re writing for our King

Powers that be, how do ya feel about it? @josiah @daeus-lamb @mariposa  I can’t find anyone else’s tags! Help!

@anne-of-lothlorien I loved your KaPeeFer poem because it was hilarious, but I like this one even better because it’s absolutely beautiful! ❤️❤️❤️

@mariposa Aww, thank you. I wanted to make this one ring a little truer and resounding of the real reason why we’re here. Thanks for saying I achieved my goal.

        And I’ll shall tag @kate and @hope 😛

@daeus-lamb That… is honestly one of the best responses I could wish for. This is who we are. Thank you!

@anne-of-lothlorien That’s such a beautiful poem/song! <3 I like that you address that there are questions about why we bother writing…and then a resounding answer. 😉

But now I’m dying to know what the KePers anthem was…

A dreamer who plans, and a planner who dreams; a paradox.

@anne-of-lothlorien I would venture to say this is even better than the KP anthem! Very well done. I like the “battle song” style.

The purpose of a storyteller is not to tell you how to think, but to give you questions to think on

I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOOVE IT! The swing and…tempo?…(at least that’s what my music-obsessed brain interprets it as XP)…are just beautiful! And that last stanza/paragraph/idkpoetryterminology=😍😍

"I'd like to add some beauty to life," said Anne dreamily.

It’s beautiful. I love the battle cry feeling to it. I am imagining Celtic music in the background (think bagpipes and Brave soundtrack but slower). I love it. 😀
