@naiya-dyani@eden-anderson I’m actually going to be editing it, so I’ll see if I can finish within the fifteen minutes! 😀

@eden-anderson@naiya-dyani Did you get your essay finished? I got 579 words!

@naiya-dyani@eden-anderson *snaps fingers* I’m very close! It’s only a two-page essay, but I was less planned and perfectionistic while I was writing this time, so there are more things to fix than I usually have. Great job! 😀

@hope-mcclellanI return from my daily adventure in childcare! I seek a battle of words and pens, and for that I require an opponent. Anyone up for a word war? XD I’ll be here until about 9:30

@hope-mcclellanAlright!! I cannot believe I actually made my deadline of finishing this chapter before the end of the week, but I did! I’ll put the link at the end, but a couple quick notes before you read. You already know the concept and some of the terms, so I don’t think I need to go over that. Again, please be as detailed as you like! Warning, this is first draft, so it’s pretty raw.
The one specific thing I would like feedback for is the general “vibe” of this new side character I am introducing, Sidon. I know what he is like, but my chosen POV character may have given the wrong perspective, so I’m not sure I portrayed him correctly. If you could, please, after the scene where they leave the inn, write how you feel about Sidon, what kind of vibe you’re getting from him. (sorry to keep sounding like a hippie, but “vibe” really is what I’m looking for) And do the same thing once you’re done reading the entire chapter, because your opinion may change between the two scenes. I hope that all makes sense. If it doesn’t, please let me know and I can try to explain it differently.
Otherwise, have at it! Be as detailed with your critiquing as you want! I don’t know if you can comment within the Google Doc, or if you’ll need to do it on here. I’m pretty new to Google Docs, so if the link doesn’t work or if you need specific access to comment, let me know and I’ll do what I can to fix it. 🙂

@naiya-dyani@hope-mcclellan YAY!!! Haha, I get what you mean by ‘vibe’ 😛 . *nods* Will do. And it looks like I can comment just fine!
Just warning you, though, I’m about to be at my grandmother’s house for about a week, and I won’t have internet access there. That may well cause issues with the doc 🙂 . Do you mind if I copy it onto a Word doc on my computer so I can read it/make comments as I’m reading offline and transfer my comments to the Google doc when I have internet?
P.S. Did you say that you work in childcare??? 😍

@hope-mcclellanWonderful! Doing it on a word document is fine and dandy with me!
And yes, I do work in childcare! I am a nanny for a special needs family with five kids. Every day is a different adventure, that’s for sure. 😂 Any particular reason you brought it up? 😏

@naiya-dyani@hope-mcclellan I just love children! 😁 Always have to control myself when I see a cute kid I don’t know. Wouldn’t do to creep parents out. 😉
If you don’t mind me asking, what kind of special needs do you work with? I have a few relatives with autism/Asperger’s, so that kind of thing interests me. (Perfectly fine if you don’t want to share that, though 😛)

@hope-mcclellanHaha totally get it. 😉 I adore kids. (which is why I’m a nanny 😛 )
I don’t mind at all! I love learning about different special needs. I kids I work with have spina bifida, fetal alcohol syndrome (with autism like symptoms), and Apert syndrome. Three of the five also have asthma.

@naiya-dyani@hope-mcclellan Wow! Special needs can be so interesting. I have this story idea involving an autistic protagonist who tries to hide his disorder from people he meets because in the past, people have treated him weirdly after finding out. Then he meets this girl he becomes great friends with until she accidentally finds out about his autism. She starts treating him differently/not opening up as much with him, which really hurts him, until she ends up being diagnosed with a disorder herself (maybe OCD; I haven’t decided yet). Then she realizes that she messed up. 🙂 I haven’t fully developed the story yet, but it’s a kind of personal story I’d really like to write someday. I’d have to ask for advice on writing the MC from a couple of my cousins, though. They both have Asperger’s, and my sister and I are good friends with them. I have a lot of respect for both of them. They’re some of the greatest guys I know. 😀

@hope-mcclellanThat’s neat! I definitely understand having a personal type story. I myself have made plenty. 😉 If it interests you, then that’s what matters!
Both Naiya and @eden-anderson, are either of you two up for a word war? I am going to be in the car for the next several hours. XD

@naiya-dyani@hope-mcclellan Ooh, that sounds lovely! I have to finish some packing first, though. 😅 I can let you know as soon as I’m able!
