They're not mistakes, they're unexpected plot twists.

@Dylan-Yarbrough I would. . .Β  except that I’ve stopped for the day. . . I should be back tomorrow, though. Probably early afternoon. And if all goes well, later on in the evening.

    Unfortunately for my poor children.

They’re mad at me right now.

(Also, question just to clarify–what are the best time frames for you guys to do word wars? Because I can see if I can beg persuade my mom to let me do writing a different time of day if that would facilitate word wars.)

Hmm, I don’t suppose you could teleport any of that chocolate, could you?

IΒ would war, but I started a new chapter yesterday and I need some time to think through what needs to happen next. Also I’m thinking of retelling a Grimm’s fairy tale as a short story, just for fun. To sum up: I need to figure out what I’m doing. XD

Hmm, time is tricky to nail down. If I have the day off from work, afternoon/evening, probably. Honestly the time I usually spend writing is before bed, 8:00-9:30 EST. That’s my only constant, but I’ll write throughout the day if I have time and feel like writing.

@hope-mcclellan *thinks intensely* Not sure. I’ll get my little brother working on a teleporter. He’s smart.

I totally get needing to think through stories first. . . I run into that all the time. Also feeling ready to write. Not quite getting up the nerve to start, but. . . pretty close. XD I had to start with listening to some good piano covers to get started today. I’m kind of obsessed with one particular one right now. πŸ˜€

Oooh, retellings! Those are fun! I started one myself a few years ago, but that was intended to be novel length. πŸ˜‰ Which one are you doing?

Gotcha. I’ll just keep tagging you whenever I’m around, then. πŸ˜‰ And hey, I’m eastern time too, so at some point I’ll probably be writing when you are! Night writing is so much fun.

Ooh, I get obsessed with songs all the time. The song I’m listening to right now is actually the third time in a row I’ve played it. XD What song are you into right now? πŸ˜€

Cool! What retelling did you start? I am thinking of doing The Three Black Princesses. It does unfortunately (like so many of the Grimm’s stories) have a sad ending where everybody dies, but I would change that. The whole concept of the black princesses living in the castle under the mountain has me…entranced. It’s one of those things that pricks the well of imagination and wonder inside of me. It’s difficult to explain, but the feeling is lovely.

Absolutely, if you keep tagging me then I’m bound to be available some time or another. πŸ™‚

@hope-mcclellan Ooh, I read a collection once, but I don’t remember that one. I’ll have to find it again. Let me know how it goes!
I started a Cinderella one where there’s actually an explanation for why the shoe only fits her. πŸ˜‰ It’s. . . pretty wild. My sister likes it, though. \_(**)_/ She’s insisting I have to do this mysterious thing called “finishing it.”
What song are you listening to? I’ve been listening to “Hikaru Nara” (an anime opening) nonstop. This one amazing pianist created a kind of ballad version of it, and it’s so good. . . and so sad. . . and thus perfect for writing. πŸ˜‰ And since there are no words, it also tends to distract me less. Don’t know if you’d want to listen to it, but if you do, I’ll put the link here. πŸ™‚

There it goes! I wonder why it won’t let me respond with what I was trying to say. Let me try one more time, then I got another trick up my sleeve.

Yikes, sorry I meant to respond but got distracted…sorry!

What does “finishing” mean? I have never heard of the concept. πŸ˜›

That song is pretty! Thanks for sharing! I adore instrumental music. It’s the only thing I listen to aside from Christian. Ask any of my family members, I have music playing practically 24/7. The song I was listening to is called Cry of Peace by Florian Bur. I’ve only listened to this one album of his, but I like it a lot! My all time favorite song of his is Secret. I think they’re both simply beautiful. 😍

I love that movie!!!Β  Never read the book, probably never will cause Mama says the movie is so much better. And ya know what I’d like to see? I’d like to see a remake of it, with Johnny Depp as Montoya and Orlando Bloom as Westley. Although… it’d be too much like PotC then I guess. *shrugs* I still think it’d be worth watching.

    OOOOO chocolate!!! πŸ˜€

I can war if anyone’s around!

    GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSP.

you didΒ NOT just say that the movie is better

Somebody hold me back! Oh my word I am so passionate about this!

Disclaimer: The following rant is aimed at the movie, not you, Livi. Don’t take any of this personally.

The book is a BAZILLION times better. I could barely watch the movie because I was so disappointed and angry about how much they cut out. There is so many powerful moments that the movie undermined, plus the fact that you completely miss Buttercup’s parents!! Plus the hilarious narrators!!! Aaaaaahhh! My opinion has always been that they murdured the book, handed humanity the corpse, and called it the movie. Seriously, this is how passionate I am about this. The book is AMAZING. It will forever and always be on my list of favorite books I’ve ever read.

If nothing else, PLEASE read it because you’ll get so much bonus material about characters and a storyline you already love.

*inhales* I think I’m good now.
