Wow! These are amazing! I love the strong lines, color, and how you stylize the faces! What medium did you use for the first one? It looks like… oil pastels? Or pencils? Awesome! The blending and lighting are fabulous!

Without darkness, there is no light. If there was no nighttime, would the stars be as bright?

I can imagine! It looks great! What is that character from? Is it one of your OC’s?

@rose-colored-fancy This is my oc Avathi 🙂  he and Misu are diguised angels that have been wandering the earth helping people in need for the past 2 thousand years (He’s very much based off of Gandalf in that aspect).  I was originally going for neon lighting, cause he lives in Spire now, but it ended up looking more galaxy themed.  I think it looks really good, though, so I’m not disappointed 🙂

Ooh, that’s such a cool concept! His design is really cool! I actually think it looks like neon lighting, but the colors do give it the galaxy vibe. I really like it!

@rose-colored-fancy thank you!  You’ll have to keep an eye out for them.  They may get a brilliant idea to…I don’t know…get lost in a castle or something 😉

That was a terrible way to introduce myself, but I’m an artist and your drawings are gorgeous. I have not read the Silmarillion yet (my sister is hogging it), but you made Manwë so cute. Good job.

@arindown aww thanks 💕  what kind of art do you like to do?  I’m very happy with the design I did for Manwë 🙂  He’s one of my favorite characters.  You should definitely try reading it!  It’s kind of hard to get through, and it’s super depressing, but I really enjoyed it 🙂

@calidris Ohh, I shall keep an eye out for Manwë when I get around to that book. I’m in the middle of a Lord of the Rings reread, so I’m not ready yet.

I got in digital art about a year ago, and I really like it. You probably saw some of it on my Instagram.😝  I also really love charcoals. What style do you like best?

I did see it!  I really, really love your charcoal work, especially the animal portraits 🙂

I think that I like stylized art.  I don’t do well with photo realism, and personally I think that it’s kind of… I don’t know, empty?  I have massive respect for people who have the patience and skill to create photo realistic art, but for me, a huge part of art is putting my personal touch on a piece.  What about you?

I don’t know if this is what you’re asking, but I mainly use colored pencils and markers.  I want to get into digital art, but I don’t have the best set up right now 🙁
