Ah yes, he’s a bit of a lesser known author. (Which I am only slightly bitter about, given that C.S. Lewis credits George MacDonald as his inspiration, and EVERYONE knows C.S. Lewis but very few know George MacDonald… 😛 )
Well, personally I like Lilith best, but I have strange tastes. Lilith is just the most random, bizarre, fantastical, and confusing-but-in-a-good-way type of book that I have ever come across. As I said before, I have strange tastes.
The Curate’s Awakening is a more down to earth one. (Literally, it takes place on earth. Lillith is in some other dimension/world.) It also has a little romance thrown in with the mix, which you mentioned you enjoyed. 🙂
