Hey everybody! So, I just started my first semester of college, and I’ve been wondering.
Who all on SE is in college?
Which state is your college in/where do you go?
What’s your major?
And how in the world do you make time for writing with all the college stuff you have to do?!

I’m thinking about college. I have like 36 CLEP and DSST credits but never applied them to a program because I got burned out working and studying at the same time. I am in awe of people who manage to do both and raise a family, I can barely do one of those without breaking down crying =P
I dunno. As much as I hate my job I doubt I’d like anything else better so going to college is probably a bad idea. I love studying in my free time, though! I’m reading textbooks on game design patterns, C#, and sexuality in turn of the century gothic literature right now. My only problem is time spent reading is time not spent writing, and vice versa.
If I go to college it’d probably be a better idea to go for a computer science than a literature degree, but I’d really love to go for the latter.

@skye I’m about to graduate from college! 😮 My college is in Missouri. Where is yours? And what is your major? My major is in psychology, and I’m minoring in writing, social sciences, and biblical studies. 🙂
Heh…time for writing is…difficult. It does help that at least for this semester, some of my homework *is* writing (I’m writing a novella for a class). During the other semesters…I stayed up too late so I could get writing done. 😛

@taylorclogston Duuuuude it’s great that you have 36 credits done already. I had like 6 😛 So if you do decide to go to college, you’ve got a year out of the way already. I don’t know what to tell you… I guess don’t just settle for something you can live with, but something you can’t live without.
@cassandraia Congratulations on your soon-to-graduation! Out of curiosity… do you go to College of the Ozarks? It’s so cool you get to write a novella for class. I’m in a theatre class, and we’re actually writing a play (I should probably be doing that rather than this, actually). My college is in Virginia, and I’m studying basically Youth Ministry, but with more of a focus on camp ministry.

@skye thank you 🙂 I do not, but I have friends who attend there! Yeah, I’m blessed to have an opportunity to write fiction for school. 🙂 I wrote a play for a creative writing class last year, and it was so much fun! We got the opportunity to perform it at the end of the semester. Do you get to do something like that? There’s something wonderful about being about to put together a production of your own play. 😀 That’s awesome!! I hope your studies are going well. 🙂
