@writergirl101Ok, yes, I figured out that we can start writing today, and where to put my word count. You can write on anything (Scrivener, Google Docs, Microsoft Word, etc.), but you don’t write on the NaNoWriMo site itself. You just enter your word count.
So, what I did was enter the project info (name, goal, synopsis, etc.). (Btw, did you get an email saying that Camp NaNo starts tomorrow?) Then I clicked on “projects”, scrolled down to the bottom of the page, where that goal will be. Tap on the goal, and this should pop up:
If that happens, this page will have all your writing stats. At the top, right under my book cover, it says I’ve written 1091 words so far. Below that box, in Progress Updates, you can tap on “+ add new update” in the top right corner. Whenever you finish writing something, you submit a new update that will add up your word count.
Hope that helps and makes sense!

@writergirl101Oh, and the 2nd screenshot I sent to Beth shows how to submit the word count.

@writergirl101Wait, my bad. You don’t have to reenter your information. That was dum-dum me making another document…🙄

@writergirl101Are you Beth Darlene on NaNoWriMo with the little wizard thing holding the sword on your profile and the dragons on your background?

@talKind of? I’m going to be starting a novel about halfway through the month, but I need to finish brainstorming and outlining.

@kristianne-hassmanI’m not doing NaNoWriMo. I’ve actually never done it before. Is it pretty stressful?
Courage, dear heart.

@chalice@arindown, *raises hand* Yes. I’m doing Camp NaNo this month. 😁
@writergirl101, So, is this going to be the official “encourage-one-another-and-build-each-other-up-during-Camp-NaNo” forum? ‘Cause I was thinking of starting one of those, but if everyone is already here, that might be a little pointless. 😆ENFP-T/Artist/Writer/Musician
