Oof, if that doesn’t prepare you for the deadlines writers face, I’m not sure what will. XD I’m not sure what you consider “having time”, but I would love to beta read! I feel like I’m so invested in the story already; I really want to know what happens. 😀

Ok!! Gwen and Werrley!
Werrley first cause he’s really simple and quick lol:
He’s really small, about twice the size of your fist. A lil’ round ball of sarcastic (but also really polite and caring) feathers with a head, beak, and two eyes XD He likes to ride on Gwen’s shoulder when they’re traveling, holding onto her braid with his beak to keep his balance. He’s mostly chestnut brown, with some vertical white and darker brown streaks on his breast. Typical yellow-ish beak and feet. And again, mostly just a ball of cuteness! Very smiley, and he’s actually only sarcastic when he’s nervous. Which isn’t often. Mostly he’s just SUNSHINE 😀 😀 Oh, and he has those lil’ tufts of feathers that look like ears. *nods* Very cute.
Gwendolyn:
5’4”, about 118-120 lbs, grey eyes, DARK hair (about waist-length, maybe longer, and almost black). Her hair is pretty much straight. She’s 23, but could pass as 18-ish. Or maybe 24-28, but probably not unless she wears dark colors, a hat, etc. Usually wears a long-ish (like a few inches past her knees) brown tunic over a shirt and leggings, a pair of simple leather boots, and wears her hair in a braid down her back. She’ll pull it over her shoulder to hang down in front of her when Werrley wants to hold onto it. When it’s cold, she’ll wear a coat (that’s more like a cloak) with a hood and plenty of pockets. She’s a pretty down-to-earth type person, really nice. She’s struggling with kinda self-doubt right now off and on because of some stressful stuff going on that would spoil the story if I tell you any more lol. She also has a broken arm right now, so if you wanna draw her left arm wrapped in linen bandages and wrapped to her shoulder, that’s cool. Oh, and the story is set in kind of medieval-ish times.
Oh, and I would love to beta-read it!!! I will say… I have like two other people whose stuff I need to read first, but if you want to send it to me when you’re ready I’ll get to it sometime!!

Okay, I’ll be honest, I was in a serious character drawing mood tonight and randomly went “hey, I know she didn’t tell me what her characters look like yet, but I want to draw them right now, so I’ll get started and add the details when she provides them.” So the one I have right now isn’t it the perched-on-the-shoulder pose (although now I want to do that, too XD), but I hope you like it! I had a ridiculous amount of fun drawing it.

@urwen-starial Sorry, I know you didn’t give me specific characters to draw, but I was having too much fun tonight and drew Kirat and Jin! Not thrilled with how the hair turned out, but hey, I hope you like it! 😀

I had fun doing them like that. Jin had struck me too much like the tolerant friend to just NOT draw him. I did, though, have to plop in front of my sister and say “cross your arms for me” to figure out how to do it! 😀

Rhioe is short, long brown hair, dipped in red, ambery brown eyes, a kind smile,
she typically wears a white long sleeve shirt and a vest thing overtop, (if you’ve ever seen The Pirates of the Carribbean At world’s end you’d know) with a belt draped from one shoulder to her waist.

So her hair is brown but red-tipped? I mean, I’m only doing black and white right now, but I’ll want to get the shade variances right.
Also, do you mind if I make her style different from the one I used for Jin and Kirat? I got manga drawing books for Christmas and I’m thoroughly enjoying them! 😀

I made a little classic Christmas sketch this morning in honor of, well, Christmas. 🙂

I also had some fun with manga-style art today! I’m pretty terrible at it right now unless I’m copying from another drawing, but I had one copy that made me really happy!

To do the hair coloring in black and white, the brown would be a darker pencil, abs red lighter, then there’s shading and lighting. Shading on the red would be darker than the original color, but not quite a dark as the brown. And lighting would be almost the paper color.
brown, dark shadows, and the lighting would be slightly darker than the lighting on the red hair.
I hope that made sense.
I LOVE THOSE MOVIES!!!! 1-3 is great, 4, 5 aren’t that great. Surprisingly there’s no language really until the 5th. I’ll shut up now so I don’t spoil the entire thing, XD XD
