Hey guys! Does anybody have favorite albums or artists that they listen to while they write?

A couple of my favorites are Transformers: the score, Petrichor, and music from Top Gun: Maverick. Ender’s Game is also a fun soundtrack. I’ve listened to those on repeat for ages, and I’d love some new suggestions!

I don’t usually listen to music while I write because it distracts me, but I usually get pumped up before a session with a playlist of some thematically relevant music.

For my current novel, that’s this: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/70BOyelUSDTVfgbtEFbx83?si=b82ba8854dd54e59

Lots of Needtobreathe and indie 🙂

Additional shout out to the Interstellar soundtrack though – a perfect balance of ambient and melodical, and absolutely SPOT on for my work in progress, which is also a science fiction with an agricultural backdrop.

But there is a spirit within people, the breath of the Almighty within them, that makes them intelligent.

Cool! I’ll have to try those. I find that having music that’s the right mood for whatever I’m writing really helps me to get through the scene. Thank you!

I like to listen to Lord of the Rings soundtrack as well as epic, emotional, and celtic music. I play the piano so music effects me and makes me motivated so listening to something often lets some new ideas flow in.

This was what I listening to while I was typing yesterday: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SESMsgZxSxw&list=PLHeqrQ7lEjxLkWMZCwapNR9aTsiJ8Sain&index=34
