‘Tis true, my friend, your poem has lasted long,
But, seemed it, made of angels’ song.
Soft and smooth, ’tis ever flowing,
Meticulously writ, softly glowing.
And though we stray from starting purpose,
Mayhap it’s for the better chorus.
Dauntless, we, with swords of ink; our pens,
Delve into a world of poems; wishing no end.
I really need to watch it at some point… I’m missing out and I don’t like it XD
XD Yes, Will, you coined it, it’s your word, and nobody’s gonna take it away from you 😀 😀 (No, I’ve never seen it, but my friend has, and I think I remember him telling me something about a porcupine.)
*nods* Very nice! Here’s one:
Pit-patter-splash! rain falls on the leaves.
Splash-patter-pit! raindrops hit the trees.

I see you have entered a couplet war,
But I shall post mine, then intrude no more:
Divine Fire, flaming bright,
Inspire me, Your words to write.
@evelyn By the way, I really liked yours.

@k-a-grey Thank you. It was an idea that had been on my mind all day and it was refreshing to put into words. (:October 3, 2019 at 12:54 am #98031Leon Fleming@w-o-holmes
Thanks, I give to thee, my friend
Of written lays that have no end
Of thought, of depth, of possible
Ideas that could be written down.
Your’s too, it truly, a work of art
And though I wouldn’t praise mine so
Your’s is too of the clouds, the gold
Though maybe more the falling cold;
The waters falling, sunset glint
These glorious meanderings.
But still more glorious is the King
Who made all things so beautifully.
To Him I give my gratitude
In Him eternally I place
My faith bestowed upon me by
His Son, Jesus Christ, my Lord.
I think these rhymes that we have writ
And so contrived of all our “wit”
Should so be set, continuous
A poem they are for ongoing
The conversation wielded
By us upon a poem’s rhyme.
——-Very nice couplet you’ve made there!
Even while you write your thought
A couplet made, a couplet wrought.
Very nice your’s, too!November 14, 2019 at 5:42 pm #101047Candide@candide

I’ll have to think about this one.

Is it too late to join?
HE LOVED US FIRST
All things shall come to pass,
When all fears come true at last,
When the world is consumed by endless fire,
That cleanses the world of men’s evil desires
When the heavens shake, and come down to earth,
And we fear our lives are at their worst,
The Lord appears, dressed all in white,
And he hears and acknowledges his people’s plight,
When he saves us all, from Hell’s burning fire,
We shall get, what we truly desire,
We get to live, forever with him,
In heaven, where we shall enter in,
To the Lord’s sweet mercy, renewed every day,
And we finally believe, and are not afraid,
When the Lord, our God, sits upon his throne,
Every nation will exalt him, and he shall be known,
Among every people, culture and tongue,
And they shall know, that he is the Lord’s Son,
And every nation of the earth,
Will finally know how much they’re worth,
And all because, HE LOVED US FIRST.
Tada! It’s a little rocky, it could probably be better, but I came up with this at like, 6:00 in the morning? So, it’s pretty good considering how early it was.
