I’m excited to be a member of this forum and get to know all of you!

I’m Kristina … as you already know from my profile 🙂 I love writing and reading Christian fiction. As far as reading goes, my favorite genre is suspense. As for writing, I enjoy dystopian, romantic suspense, historical, and westerns. I’m not good at sticking to the same genre 🙂 I’ve self-published eleven books so far and am currently working on my twelfth. When I’m not reading, writing, or editing, I enjoy hanging out with my family and pets, lifting weights, and armwrestling.

Hey Emily! Nice to meet you too! I got into writing because I love reading and wanted to write books of my own. It’s been a lot of fun!

@kristina Hi Kristina!  That’s so cool that you’ve self published 11 (!) books!  What’s the plot of your series?

Thanks, @calidris! Here’s the blurb for the one I’m currently working on. It’s a dystopian/romantic suspense entitled Darkness Draws Near.

    Life’s worth fighting for …

When Mellie Rivers opens her home to a young mom, she knows there’s risk involved—both from the government and her own inadequacies.

Friedrich Wolf is content to work as a missionary and a mechanic. Too bad he’s given vandals an unknown reason to hate him.

When the vandalism escalates to deadly violence, Friedrich and Mellie will have to fight for life … even as darkness draws near.

    @kristina that sounds interesting!

My WIP used to be a lot more dystopian, but that part’s kind of been toned down as the plot developed…although, I still have super soldier character who escaped from a lab…so there’s that XD

Hi Kristina! Welcome to Story Embers! I’m Emma.

Eleven books self-published?! That’s a great accomplishment! *virtual high five *   Are they a bunch of standalones, all one series, or a mix?

Your WIP sounds awesome! I’m working on a dystopian right now, too.

Thanks, @e-n-leonard! They’re a few different series. I’ve always thought it’d be fun to write a really long series, but I haven’t yet made it over a trilogy.

That’s cool you’re working on a dystopian as well! What’s it about?

Nice! Do you have a website where I can learn more about your books?

My dystopian WIP is currently called Until He Comes (but that might change):

    Joy. Honor. Sacrifice. Love.

Jade Nightingale is determined to leave behind her family’s smelly Fisher class and become a ballerina, even if she must please those she hates to get there.

Mara Gobey-Hanad, the eldest of a prestigious family of Protectors, is expected to uphold the family tradition and honor, even if it cages her very soul.

When Jade’s father starts a Fishers’ rebellion against the Benevolents, all hope is lost for Jade while Mara finds the key to the Benevolents’ approval. But do joy and honor really mean what they thought?
