My name is Timotin, and I am here so I can talk with others who are writers and have faith on Lord Jesus. I hope we can have a good time.
June 15, 2023 at 8:11 pm #157827Abrielle@abrielleHi Timotin! I’m Lydia. What genres do you enjoy writing in? How long have you been writing? Do you have any projects you are working on right now? What’s your favorite part about writing?
I started writing when I was twelve, so I’ve been at it for five years now. Generally, I prefer to write fantasy, but recently I’ve been trying my hand at sci-fi. I’ve also tried to write in the ‘real world’. It’s not my favorite, mostly because writing fantasy gives me a controlled environment to process stuff in. Characters are definitely one my favorite parts about writing; I can get so attached to them. It makes it difficult to be the typical cruel author and kill off everyone’s favorite character🙃. However, I am of the opinion that if an author is going to kill someone, they ought to do it properly and not chicken out halfway through (though I have done that before).

June 22, 2023 at 7:41 am #157857RAE@raeHi, I’m Ru, (‘roo’) as my brothers call me.
I’m new to the forum but have been writing since I was twelve so almost two years (that’s only if you omit the short short stories I had before I was twelve but I don’t talk about those! Lol.) I like fantasy and sci-fi but right now I’m doing the revision draft of a sci-fi called Guardian Angels, a space story. In fantasy, I have a lot of characters (last count between sci-fi and fantasy of the unwritten and little bit of written came to 109+!) but at the moment the one I like the most is Igua Dyke Cloak.
My favorite part about writing is characters and when you’ve been thinking for a long time and then the answer clicks! I like seeing my characters grow and planning out who their families are, who their spouses and children will be, their back stories and I like putting on my Character Cloak and seeing how they see things. And I often obey the saying that my friends and I have, “Normality is overrated.”

Amid the world of woven trees!June 22, 2023 at 8:48 am #157858Abrielle@abrielleHullo Ru! Kudos on finishing your first draft of a story! I didn’t do that until just last year. How’s revision going? I probably ought to be revising, but I don’t really know where to start. I’m just so fond of the first draft, you see, despite it’s glaring problems.
Do you enjoy reading? Ah, I just found your profile page. I highly approve of your choice of favorite book. Have you read the Silmarillion? I did, at one point, but I remember very little of it. Who are authors you would most like to emulate?
Do you live in the US? Your profile makes it look like you might not . . .
