Having trouble getting my post to show up

I’ve been trying to reply to some comments in a group (Writers Over 25) and my response will not show up!I am wondering why this might be happening?

I’ve tried clicking the “quote” button on the post I want to reply to, and I’ve also tried instead hand typing the quote in the bottom box.  I’ve even tried removing quote tags entirely.
None of that made any difference.

Any other ideas why this might be happening?
Maybe something like the board thinks I have posted “too often” and I’m reaching some limit?

@edmund-lloyd-fletcher The forum has an overly sensitive spam filter. I don’t know if it’s been adjusted over time, but I’ve seen it eat posts that were really long, were edited right after posting, and were short but had a couple pictures or hyperlinks in them. I wouldn’t be terribly surprised if there was some string of words in your post that were totally innocent but which the filter thought sounded like spam.

You’ll want to hit up Daeus or Josiah to get it sorted.

@josiah Are you able to adjust the settings for anti-spam?

@daeus-lamb @taylorclogston @edmund-lloyd-fletcher I’m not sure if I can’t adjust the anti-spam filters. I will certainly seek to do so if I can, but it’s probably tied to the forum software we use and adjusting that spam filter could be tricky. I’ll try to look at this more after the summit later this month, but at the moment, my best recommendation is to just tag myself or Daeus if the spam filter eats up your post so we can retrieve it!

Hey,

This happened to me! I commented on Vivian Grant’s post for beta reading and it deleted it!

I posted the same comment twice and both times it deleted it, they were pretty long comments and I don’t want to have to keep typing it over and over again lol!
