Greetings!
I suppose I should introduce myself.
I am MiddleEarthMusician (aka Mem). I have been writing since I was 7 and finished my first novel when I was 11 (it was horrible XP). I took a break from writing after that for several years, then I got sucked into the world of the One Year Adventure Novel, and my writing has taken an entirely new and fantastic turn. I write Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Post-Apocalyptic, Superhero, and Pirate Adventure. I also delve into poetry, song writing, and non-fiction. Sometimes. XD
Anyway.
I am a Christian, violinist, Martial Artist, reader, geek, homeschooler, INTJ, and eater of chocolate.
And I’m also going to take over the world.
Someday.

Who are some of your favorite authors?
Hi there!!! I saw your amazing name and decided to like you even before I read your greeting. 😀
Allow me to introduce myself *drops in a curtsy which was surprisingly graceful* I am Erica, another writer, Middle Earth geek (The Two Towers is playing as I write this [Wormtongue has just been tossed down stone stairs. Good riddance]), Christian, reader, homeschooler, chocoholic, and though I am not an INTJ, I am an ENFP and love you INTJs to the bitter death. Y’all are seriously awesome. I am highly musical too… I play piano, sing almost as much as I talk some days, and will be starting cello this fall.
Does your violin have a name?? I love asking people that question…
What’s your favorite type of music style/artists/composers? I’m going to guess Howard Shore right from the start.
Do you have siblings? How many, and where are you in the ducky train? I’m an oldest child, oldest of seven odd ducklings. (Yes, I love asking this question a lot too…)
Also, Martial Arts… That’s super cool!!! I’ll tag @wordsmith , he’s an ENTJ, Middle Earth person, homschooler, etc, and Martial Artist. I have no idea what his view on chocolate is.
Future world ruler?? O.K. Fill me in, what’s your plan?? (Just kidding) I guess I’d better observe you closely and figure you out before you rise to power… That way I can hopefully know better how to not be ruled. XD

My violin does have a name. It is Sting. 🙂 Yes! You got it spot on. Any movie score composer is high on my list of favorites; followed by other Epic score artists and some alternative rock such as Imagine Dragons. 😀 I have five younger siblings. 😀 XD Yes! @kari-karast-my current WIP is a Sci-Fi about a crew of misfits who have to save the galaxy from a highly trained Black Merch criminal. It’s called The Ship’s Log and it has an annoying kangaroo, secretive pasts, lost memories, a broken down space ship, and death slugs. XD Some of my favorite books are Lord of the Rings, The Thief Lord by Cornelia Funke, Dream Thief by Stephen R. Lawhead, many C.S. Lewis books…and so many others. XD What are some of your favorite books? WhAt! Another future world dominator? I guess we’ll see who dominates first. ;-D

Welcome to Story Embers! It’s a pleasure to have you with us. As Erica said, I am an ENTJ, Middle Earth person, homschooler, etc, and Martial Artist. And to add onto that, I too am a Christian and and writer, though that may go without saying here. (My view of chocolate is that of moderation. I enjoy it, though not in large amounts. But I think we can still be friends 🙂)
Alas, as you are one to try and take over the world I’m afraid you’re out of luck. See, you’ll have to deal with me, and my super smart (though not quite at my level) sidekick, Brandon Miller ( @brandon-miller ).
But we can put that aside for now. Because I’m interested to know how old you are? Of course, you don’t have to answer (and I suggest not), but we like to think we’re nice people here. Also, you mentioned you’ve been writing since the age of seven (thus you are older than seven), and finished your first novel at the age of eleven (being also older than eleven), so I’m curious to know how long you have been writing in total.
I’ve been writing heavily since November of 2016-ish, though 2017 was sparser. That being said, I wrote my first story at nine-ish, and have several others I wrote or started before 2016. Now, I believe I have told my age (maybe)… but one might have to search to find it. So I’ll tell you I’m sixteen.
And of course, I MUST offer conversation about martial arts. What’s your style?

I don’t mind telling how old I am! I am 17; so I’ve been writing for 10 years now. 😀 That’s cool! You’ve been writing more seriously for longer than I have. Awesome!!!
Of course. XD I do Kung Fu (more specifically Burmese Thaing and Qin Na); but my dojo sometimes also does Muay Thai, Shaolin, and Wushu. What is your style? And do you do any weapons?

My, that’s a lot of thief books. XD I really like these 3 series by Bryan Davis called Oracles of Fire, Dragons in Our Midst, and Children of the Bard. Also this series by James Riley called Story Thieves. Plus TONS of other books.

*waves hand dismissively* Been there done that. I’ve started so many rebellions/revolutions I’ve lost track. Now it’s on to higher goals. *cackles*
(XD I love it too. Natasha is totally my favorite MCU character.) Okay, wow, I’m not actually sure I know of most of those authors. I’ll have to look them up. 😉 I’m not very good at reading all sorts of different things… I’ve been working on it. But I’ve mainly stayed within the “fantasy fiction Christian” genre. My favorite author is Patrick W. Carr. Either you love him… or you really don’t. Haven’t been able to find anyone in between as of yet. XD
