Proud Meerkat!June 6, 2018 at 10:09 pm #38179Hey, guys sorry if there’re two similar messages from me. I posted one and couldn’t see it and I’m unsure what happened.
Okay ๐ Hopes it helps you out ๐
Hey. Coralie
I just wanted to ask how much emotion do you share with your story/characters?
I ask this because last night my Mum showed me a Pixar story course called Pixar in a box it’s on Khanacademy.org
https://www.khanacademy.org/partner-content/pixar/storytelling Here’s the link it’s all free ๐
June 7, 2018 at 2:52 pm #38235@ajaj2000 Um, I’m not sure how to answer that. Sorry :/ Could you explain the question more? I’ll check out the link! Thanks!

I was trying to say how much of your own life do you put into your stories like feelings and events.
What did you think of the link?
June 8, 2018 at 4:58 pm #38358@ajaj2000 No worries! ๐ You know, I guess each of my characters have bits and pieces of me in them. Some have bits and pieces of my dreams, my fears, my hopes, my insecurities. They have skills I wish I had, skills I do have, traits both physical and emotional that I have and don’t have. They’re kind of a hodgepodge, but they all have little strains of me in them somehow.
I don’t shy away from the emotional wringer, either. I’m not afraid to put my characters through a storm. Although, I think that’s a rather new characteristic (hehe, pun intended) of mine. As I’ve grown older, faced my own slew of storms, and grown with another writer–one of my closest friends–I’ve noticed a better awareness and willingness to introduce more difficulties to my characters.
Well…now I’m not sure how well I answered your question XD I don’t do a lot with the events in my life. I’ve written two creative nonfiction pieces that were inspired and heavily influenced by very specific instances in my life, but other than that, most of my work is not based on real life events. My emotions, however, whether for better or for worse, guide quite a bit of my writing.
The link looks like aย lot of information! I’m bookmarking it so I can go through it more thoroughly, but from what Iย have seen and read so far, it looks like a great resource!

That’s good I was just asking because I’ve been trying to figure out what I was missing that was holding me back from writing and wanted to see if it could help you ๐
I’m glad you like the look of things so far hope it may be of some help ๐
June 9, 2018 at 12:27 pm #38453@ajaj2000 Cool. Thanks! I appreciate the new resource!! I like that the videos are all so short. Makes it hard to not watch them because ‘you don’t have time.’

Proud Meerkat!June 20, 2018 at 12:13 am #39347Hey guys ๐
Great job on the guild wars ๐ (Even though I have no idea which one is yours :P)
Neither of us won but that doesn’t mean my team and I will lose the next one ๐
June 20, 2018 at 7:16 pm #39464Yeah we didnโt win. Ours is the second submission.

Proud Meerkat!June 21, 2018 at 4:28 am #39502I believe my guild’s is the first one withย Camreigh ๐
Avensbeck’s was the fourth one (if we’ve both been given the same link) so I’m guessing Coralie’s is either third, fifth or sixth?
June 21, 2018 at 2:50 pm #39552@ajaj2000 Oh, thanks! I can’t wait to read everyone’s! I’ve been travelling, so I haven’t had the chance yet. I’m hoping to get to it this weekend, though.
Rillumen was the last one, The Gardener’s Last Day. ๐

I believe Erekdale’s title was Twenty Times, we kinda named it at the last minuteย so I’m not sure if it was changed ๐
How’s the move coming along?
June 22, 2018 at 5:20 pm #39692@ajaj2000 Ung, not great. I moved some things back to TN, in my storage unit and with my parents, but I still haven’t found a full time job or apartment of my own yet. :/ It’s frustrating but at the same time I know I’m doing all I can. It’s in God’s hands. I’ve got about two weeks left here in NC and I’m going to spend them visiting with my grandparents and not stressing. At the beginning of July, I’ll be back in TN whether I’m ready or not.
