    For Joseph:

    1. Is there a place you haven’t been you’d love to visit?

    “Uh,..no.”

    2. What are the three most influential factors in your life?

*confused face, then this muffles and he ponders* “El-Elyon, the evil one, and myself.”

    3. Who are you in your group of friends, i.e., the smart one, the daring one, the quiet one?

*smiles sadly* “Believe it or not I was the crazy one. The one who burst into things at the first notion…I would not think before acting or speaking.

The curious one as well. The one who always wanted to discover,..and create.”

    New Questions:

    1. Do you like or dislike surprises? Why or why not?

    2. What is your proudest accomplishment?

    3. What makes you laugh the most?

    For Radoslav again:

    1. Do you like or dislike surprises? Why or why not?

If it’s a good surprise, sure.

    2. What is your proudest accomplishment?

You know, I really don’t know. I can’t say I’m proud of much of what I’ve done in my life. That’s not to say I’ve done bad things…just not a lot of really great things.

    3. What makes you laugh the most?

Anna. My baby sister. She makes me laugh my head off. Drives me crazy, too.

    More questions:

    1. Do you play any sports?

    2. What kind of music do you prefer?

    3. How do you think you will likely die?

I’m going to do this for two of my characters. 🙂

    For Arris and Hanna:

    1. Do you play any sports?

    Arris:  “Basketball.”

Hanna:  “I train to run.  That’s all I’ve ever done.”

    2. What kind of music do you prefer?

    Arris:  “Hip-hop.”

Hanna:  “Uh… pop of some kind?”

    3. How do you think you will likely die?

Arris:  “This is the hood, man.  You die today, tomorrow, next week.  Doesn’t matter to me, as long as it’s quick.”

    Hanna:  “Running.”

(it’s not normal running, it’s a brutal competition)

    New questions:

    1)  Would they foster, adopt, or have biological children?  Or no kids at all?

    2)  How many kids do they have/want to have?

    3)  Would they want a boy or girl as first-born?

Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn.

    For Radoslav again:

    1) Would they foster, adopt, or have biological children? Or no kids at all?

Wow, I never really thought much about any of that. (He is, in fact, going to marry and unofficially adopt an orphaned boy, but of course he doesn’t know that yet.)

    2) How many kids do they have/want to have?

If I marry, I’d love to have children–definitely more than one, but the number doesn’t really matter.

    3) Would they want a boy or girl as first-born?

I suppose, if I had to choose, I’d like a son first.

    More Questions:

    1. Have you ever been in a physical fight?

    2. Have you ever intentionally hurt anyone?

    3. Is there anyone you feel responsible for?

    @writergirl101

    For Hanna:

    1. Have you ever been in a physical fight?

*laughs*  Girl, what world do you live on?  We are in the slums.  I don’t think anyone hasn’t gotten into a fist fight.

    2. Have you ever intentionally hurt anyone?

When people attack my family, I defend them.  But deep down, I want  to hurt them.  I don’t know why.

    3. Is there anyone you feel responsible for?

No one, until Phebe.  She changed me, in every single way.

    New Questions:

    1)  Would they ever do anything stupid just because someone said you couldn’t?

    2)  Are they pretty committed to working out, or do they make excuses?

    3)  What trade do they have most experience in?

Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn.

Radoslav yet again (sorry, I’ll move on to somebody else after this)

    1) Would they ever do anything stupid just because someone said you couldn’t?

Would I do something stupid because somebody told me not to? No.

    2) Are they pretty committed to working out, or do they make excuses?

Do I look like I work out? (laughs)

    3) What trade do they have most experience in?

Security, I suppose. Is that a trade? When I completed high school I got a job as a night watchman at a paper factory. I wanted to go on to University, but there wasn’t money for that. When the factory closed, I became a prison guard.

    More Questions:

    1. What’s your favorite color?

    2. What does your mother (or mother figure) always tell you?

    3. What really makes you angry?

    @writergirl101

    For Nic:

    1. What’s your favorite color?

    I don’t know, green, I guess?

    2. What does your mother (or mother figure) always tell you?

My adoptive mother was killed when I was five, but she always wanted me to help others.

    3. What really makes you angry?

When Hanna does things just to make me mad.  I do so much for her and she never appreciates it.

    Questions:

    1)  Do you like donuts or cupcakes better?

    2)  What’s your best friend’s personality type?

    3)  Who is your best friend?

Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn.

    @amaustin

This is the character building game. You first say the name of the character you’re answering for, then you answer the three questions the person before you asked at the end of their post. After you’ve answered you leave three different questions. (If you’ve read a really good question, and want to ask it again, that’s fine.)

    For El

do you like donuts or cupcakes better?

I have no idea what either of those are, and i don’t really care to know.

what’s your best friend’s personality type?

Annoying. he’s obnoxiously cheerful, and a jokester. he keeps a lot of how he really feels inside, and it’s only gotten harder to read him because of his diplomatic training.
    who is your best friend?

    my cousin, Fin

    questions:

disclaimer: i just joined this so I’m not  sure if any of these have been asked yet or not

    1. how close of a relationship do you have with your extended (cousins, grandparents, aunts and uncles) family?

    2. are you closer with family on your mom’s side or your dad’s side, or is it equal?

    3. Would you rather eat super spicy food or completely  bland food?

No worries, @cherryblossom-the-cat Good questions can always be asked twice…or more.

Here’s for Kiva, unloved husband and hero of Book Five:

    1. how close of a relationship do you have with your extended (cousins, grandparents, aunts and uncles) family?

I’m very close with my father’s side of the family, because our farms lie next to each other, and we share the same barns. My cousin Arjun (my father’s brother’s son) is my best friend, and I’m married to his sister my cousin Preen.

    2. are you closer with family on your mom’s side or your dad’s side, or is it equal?

Physically, I’m closer to my father’s side. We don’t see much of my mother’s people, because there’s a mountain range between us. But I love visiting them when we can.

    3. Would you rather eat super spicy food or completely bland food?

Well, I never thought about it. We eat a lot of bread, sausage and white cheese, which are all bland, I suppose…and wash them down with vodka, which isn’t.

    More Questions:

    1. Do you often pray?

    2. What scares you?

    3. How many languages do you speak?

    Ella
    @writergirl101

I’m bumping it up to 4 () characters, so I’ll keep the answers short.

    1. Do you often pray?

    Nic:  Every night–for Hanna especially.

Hanna:  I don’t believe in God.  Why should I?  He left me to suffer, so why should I love him?

Arris:  Nah.  God doesn’t answer prayers.  He never has.

Phebe:  I think there is a God out there who hears me, but I don’t know why he doesn’t talk to me.

    2. What scares you?

Nic:  When Hanna will enter the Race.  That Arris doesn’t care anymore.  And I hate the water.

    Hanna:  Death.

Arris:  I really don’t know anymore.

Phebe:  Being alone.  *looks around to see if anyone’s watching, then whispers*  And spiders.

    3. How many languages do you speak?

Nic:  English is my first language, but I speak a little Spanish too.  So 2.

Hanna:  No, no comprendo.  Just 1.

    Arris:  1, good ol’ English.

Phebe:  I know Spanish from my mother, and Japanese from Old Sugai.  Including English, 3.

    More Questions:

    1)  Has someone ever broken your heart?

    2)  What would you change your name to, if you could?

    3)  What meme or gif or anything makes you laugh super hard?

Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn.

    @zee

@writergirl101, I like the idea of interviewing more than one closely-related character at the same time. Since my stories tend to have two main characters (male and female) I think I’ll do them both. So here’s for Kiva and his wife, Preen:

    1) Has someone ever broken your heart?

Kiva: That’s a very personal question.

Preen: Rama broke my heart. And not just once…

    2) What would you change your name to, if you could?

Kiva: I like my name. It’s my father’s name, and I feel honored that he gave it to me.

Preen: My full name is actually Preenalaya, but nobody calls me that, because it takes too long to say.

    3) What meme or gif or anything makes you laugh super hard?

Kiva: Those youtube videos where people try to do crazy things and end up falling, or whatever. Those are hilarious…and scary?

Preen: My daughter. She’s two, and she makes me laugh every day.

    New Questions:

    1. If you could change one thing about the way you looked, what would it be?

    2. What’s your ideal job?

    3. If you could pick, would you have siblings or be an only child?

    #118355
    Ella
    @writergirl101

    For Adrian, Hanna, and Genessa:

    1. If you could change one thing about the way you looked, what would it be?

Hanna:  My hair.  It’s thick and long and dark, but it’s really really hot.  Even when I cut it.

    Adrian:  I don’t know–toned abdominals?

Genessa:  I like the way I look.

    2. What’s your ideal job?

Hanna:  Uh, I have no idea.  I just want to get into the city.

Adrian:  I’d like to be able to help kids train to get into the city so they can be part of the next gen.

    Genessa:

    3. If you could pick, would you have siblings or be an only child?

Hanna:  I’d want to have siblings, personally, but I want to give my child everything.

Adrian:  Siblings.  I’d like to have even more than Genessa, though.

Genessa:  I would be an only child.  It hurts me to think I might finish and Adrian won’t.

    More Questions:

    1)  Coffee or tea drinker?

    2)  What ethnicity are they (one or more)?

    3)  When was the last time they cried?

Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn.

    #118358
    Kimmi
    @kimlikesart

    For Joseph:

    1. Coffee or tea drinker?

“Tea. Boiled ginger with honey.” (He doesn’t know what coffee is, (it was invented in the 1400s), but he would probably like it.)

    2)  What ethnicity are they (one or more)?

“Ethnicity? What family group am I from?

From the family of Terah. From his son Abraham. From his second son Isaac. (I am not of the many other children Abraham had with Keturah), though I have met a few. Most of them good people. Then Isaac’s son, my father, Israel.”

    3)  When was the last time they cried?

“Cried?” *squirmy feeling inside* That day… *Thoughts filling him and dragging his heart down as he thinks of why he had wept*… “It is of no affect.” He says with jaw set.

    New Questions:

    1. What drives you?

    2. How do you expect to die?

    3. What do you wish you would die of/from?

    @zee

    1. What drives you?

Kiva: I want to work hard, live well, and take care of the people and animals I’m responsible for.

Preen: Sometimes I feel so guilty…

    2. How do you expect to die?

Kiva: (laughing) I don’t know. If I don’t get tossed by a bull, old age, I suppose.

Preen: I never thought I’d get out of Dor alive. Now, I don’t think about it.

    3. What do you wish you would die of/from?

Kiva: I hope I’ll die peacefully with my children and grandchildren close by.

Preen: I said I don’t think about it.

    More Questions:

    1. What are you good at?

    2. What are you terrible at?
